How easy is it to set up and take down for camping? It seems like a good system for hot water, but I am concerned about adding more stuff that requires more effort.
That is a really good point! I too have gone camping a number of times with the truck and wondered about losing storage space to the camp kitchen, especially when camping with a family of 4. Of course, having the camp kitchen in the gear tunnel means you don't need to bring kitchen gear that...
I was tired of hearing, "I don't know," from my guide and customer service so I decided to email RJ about the camp kitchen. To my surprise, he responded on the 4th of July! Here is what he said:
Thanks Zac for your support and enthusiasm for what we are building!
Apologize for the silence on...
I am thinking about getting the Exo system and was wondering if you could help me out with a few questions. First, how much effort is it to put on and take off, including the SwingBase and TopShelf? I don't think I would keep it on there, so I am trying to determine if it takes a lot of...
Anyone have any experience or data they can share on towing a small, off-road trailer like the Taxa Woolly Bear or the Tribe Basecamp? Even though they are small, they seem less aerodynamic to me than trailers like the Airstream Basecamp. So, I am curious how the range impact works out with...
Autoshield right down the street from the Rivian Service Center did mine and did a great job. I ended up doing full front and doors plus windshield window tinting...
I had a service call at home on Tuesday and we were able to finally get the truck to open my Genie Pro garage door opener. The solution was using a different remote. Even though both remotes operate the garage door opener, only one was able to pair with the truck. Why? Who knows? Could be worth...
Here is what my guide texted me on August 31, "We're sharing more updates for the Camp Kitchen, Three-Person Tent, and Gear Tunnel Shuttle later this fall. As a reminder, I've added notes to your order when we removed the Camp Kitchen so you'll be one of the first to be invited to purchase it...
My understanding in talking with various Rivian folks is that the initial prototypes were completely built by hand and they are having a challenging time determining how to scale up production. It didn't sound like supply chain constraints.
Also, they have iterated on the design, making...
I don't have a pic of that, but it does overhang the rear. My thought is that it shouldn't be too big a deal when driving and it feels very secure when opened and sleeping in. The trade off for me of having it fit the bed better, but not having enough room for the family, wasn't worth it.
