Downside is paying for tire swaps + balancing twice a year (before and after winter). If you had dedicated wheels for each type of tire then you could even swap them out yourself if you wanted before/after each winter.

Personally, I'm glad it's not a standard feature that would raise the price. Maybe they will offer an optional power-operated frunk in the future for those who would pay extra for it.

So the 20" AT tire option for the R2 won't be 3PMS rated? That's unfortunate. I wanted a tire option that would be decent in snow without going for a dedicated snow tire.

Not offering a 2nd interior color option at launch is LAME.

I would consider the 20" AT option ONLY if it's reasonably priced - no more than $1500. Otherwise, I'll stick with the 21" and better range and hope there will be more 21" tire options coming soon.

Damn, the white with the black contrast looks really good. This might be my 3rd color choice after green and borealis.

I'm curious how cost conscious potential R2 owners are about optional paint cost.

Looks like all the paintcolors will be available for Launch Edition, but no option for the Cloud interior (at least in the beginning). I guess my Borealis/Cloud build won't be happening until late this year. 😥
