Bought my used 23 R1T a little over a month ago. Matte El Cap with FE interior.
I was NOT convinced about the FE, but everything else about the truck was exactly what I wanted. Picked it up w/o my wife seeing it, and was concerned she would not like it.
She did, and it's grown on me, and not...
Precut is definitely easier, but it's not easy. Precut takes out some of the calculating how to lay out weird curves, angles, etc. But if you haven't used PPF or wraps before, you're going to waste a lot of pieces while you are learning, so the savings will be reduced.
If you LIKE doing it...
Update: I set up my WiFi network on the truck and used that to connect the charging station--totally separate network, same error.
I told ChargePoint that, and their solution is to send me a replacement charger. I'm going to take a look tomorrow and decide if I will connect it or have the...
I will, and, it was!
When I first got the Defender I thought it seemed pretty frivolous.
Now it's like I lost a thumb: "Damn, I gotta crank the jack BY HAND!?!" 🤣
Not completely off topic, but in hopes that Rivian monitors and picks up suggestions for improvement from these forums:
My single biggest niggle since trading in my Defender for my R1T is losing the button inside the tailgate that allows me to raise /lower the suspension.
It made hooking the...
Read this thread this morning, and confirmed that it was on in my settings.
During a drive a little while ago I asked RA if it would remember previous queries, learn my patterns, etc.
It said it does NOT. It very clearly stated that each session was as if previous requests and instructions...
I'm not an IT person although I'm pretty IT-adjacent in my work, and I find it interesting.
Your post is helpful to me, so thanks for getting into the weeds. What I think I heard is if I were to use their device as a modem, and connect a router to that to operate my network, I could alleviate...
I got the ChargePoint through PSE for the $300 discount. I haven't heard anything about it needing to connect, although I assume that is, why they gave the discount.
I only buy it because I had a previous issue with my work VPN not functioning on my home network. Our IT and my own searching confirmed that Tmobile 5G wifi doesn't play well with certain VPNs.
I played along when they wanted me to use my hotspot but pointed out that was ALSO a Tmobile wireless...
I'm not a user of LLMs or even Alexa, so I don't know what is a reasonable request, what is already easily available for systems like RA, etc, but reading through 5 pages of this I have 2 requests I would actually find as improvements:
Voice to text capability to send/receive voicemail messages...
I have a ChargePoint account and app. I got my ChargePoint Home Flex charger installed 2 weeks ago. I have tried to connect my charger to my account/app, but kept getting an error.
Called CP support today, and spent an hour on the phone. They said it can't complete the process because I have...
My apologies. I have read through most of the owners manual, but didn't catch the part about using a non-Rivian jack. What was shared above is a "tire guide" that now that I looked back at the owners manual I see that it's just an excerpt, but it was helpful to me.
Thanks!
I couldn't get the link to work, but a search found the tire guide, which definitively answered my question. I'll take the money I would have spent on pucks and buy a second jack so I can do the diagonal lift method.
One of these days hopefully manufacturers will agree on a standard...
I saw several threads about jacking but didn't see mention of whether pucks are, necessary without the panels. It seemed to me that the pucks were necessary mainly to reach though the panels to the jack points. If there's no panel, can the, floor jack pad or jack stand pad sit straight on the...
New to me 23 R1T with running boards installed and the underside panels removed (didn't come with truck).
Do I need jack pucks? I've got an extensive collection for other vehicles but none that seem to match what I'm seeing for sale for Rivians.
Will I need pucks to use my floor jack and...
Update: service completed at Fife WA SC. 2 batteries replaced, all seems to be good. SC staff were quick, friendly. Good experience.
I read somewhere that the way to tell if you have 2 batteries is if you have a 12v outlet in the frunk. I do not, so I assumed I have only 1, but SC conformed...
Waking this thread from the dead, not because I enjoy petulant arguments, but to see if anyone discussing the actual problem learned of a resolution?
Had a similar issue happen 2x yesterday within 10 minutes during an hour-long drive on I5 in evening traffic. I heard some sort of warning chime...
Yeah, I'm not too disappointed. Technically they haven't made any money off me. I'm just an expense on their balance sheet for potential warranty work, and a possible future customer, so the goodwill gesture seems reasonable.
Hoping the, appointment Thursday goes smoothly.
No call, but I got the red triangle warning yesterday on my March 23 R1T. I just bought it used wit 25k miles in it 3xweeks ago.
SC said out of warranty (by a few weeks) so I have to pay. I did get full maintenance history--no previous 12v issues.
I kept asking, and am now, down to $350+tax...
