Thanks for the reply! I did some digging and found out some good info:
On the R1, Conserve is really efficient because it disconnects the rear motor, and All Purpose leaves it connected at all times. Efficiency takes a hit.
On the R2, All Purpose actually disconnects the front axel once...
I have a Model 3 and a very hairy/warm pup, so I plug a USB fan into one of the back ports and aim directly at him in the back seat.
I also wear jeans on long trips, even in the summer, so I don't freeze while trying to keep the pup cool cause it's always more climate controlled in the front...
Any reason you chose All Purpose as opposed to Conserve? Looks like the front axel would have been disconnected in Conserve, making the efficiency better.
I'm assuming it's for safety reasons. Tesla vehicles are rare in that that they are on a 400V architecture, which means pulling more Amps...

I've been curious why people are promoting the R2 as the first car with matrix headlights in the US. My friend's 2021 Model 3 had them and they were activated a couple years ago in a software update. The R2 is definitely not the first.
Yessir. Currently using my Tesla Mobile Connector on my 2018 Model 3, but will swap it out for a hardwired connection when I get the R2. My Gen 2 Wall Connector and Mobile Connector won't charge the R2, so I'm going to need to upgrade anyway.

I bought a house in late 2024 and it ended up being a new build with a 40A dedicated EV charging circuit in the garage. After reading this post and the comments, I think I made the right decision. Haha
The R2 wheels may be different sizes, but each wheel/tire combination is the same 32" total diameter, no matter which wheel you pick. This was done to minimize engineering challenges with different sized tire/wheel combinations.

Sure, leaving the hot air an A/C system produces behind by being in motion does help, but I would argue the vast, vast majority of the reason a moving gas car cools better is because the engine is at a higher RPM, thusly the A/C is at a higher RPM.

In my Model 3, I also play the no-pedal brake game at lights....but, the car has strong regen. I much prefer strong regen as you can then feather the accelerator to get the strength you need/want instead of always getting light regen and no more.
Strangely, Geico quoted me a little over $600/6 mo when I added a LE VIN. It was wildly cheap, so much so I thought it was a mistake, but all the data was right. You might try them? Even if it is a mistake, hey, they should honor it.
I feel that, once you learn to feather the accelerator to control acceleration and braking, it becomes second nature in about a week. It seems most that don't like 1-pedal driving are still fully letting off the accelerator all the time as if they're driving a gas car.

If you let off the accelerator just enough that you're not sending power to the car, and you're also not activating regen, the car is then coasting like a Porsche EV or any gas car. Well, better than the gas car because there is usually some engine braking.
