    The chart mixes a few different things. The 50/60/70/80 mph points are controlled or near steady-speed tests, while some of the others are owner trips using average speed...     R2 gets bad efficiency at 80 mph: "Well, EPA doesn’t test at 80 mph" R2 gets ~2 mi/kWh at low speed: "Well, EPA doesn’t test that slow either" Apparently EPA tests the R2 at one very specific magical speed where it suddenly becomes efficient. We just haven’t found it yet:)

    Good to know! but I assume it is not as bad as short trips with turbo cars. What if ev sleeps in a warm garage ?

    Noticed this as well with collected data. I thought it was some data error and was very surprised. Also thought city driving was supposed to be more efficient. Is this how all EVs work?

    From what I can tell, Half Moon Grey deliveries have resumed, so Rivian seems to have the issue mostly under control. I still wouldn’t call it fully resolved though. There were HMG cars in August with clearly mismatched doors or charge-port panels, and Rivian ended up replacing the vehicle...

    I noticed the same. Low pressure is nice, but it sometimes felt more like indifference. Then again, these are basically $50–60k retail jobs, so maybe expecting everyone to be a Rivian enthusiast is unrealistic...

You pay $60,000 for 330 miles of marketing and roughly 200 miles of interstate stamina. EPA should ban Rivian from printing any number higher than 200, every reservation holder should...

    Those numbers show it pretty clearly. At 56 mph, 224 miles using 80% works out to about 280 miles on a full battery, which is reasonably close to the R2’s roughly 301-mile EPA highway figure.     BTW, their real-world ranges are surprisingly similar. The Toyota/Subaru are basically just a few miles behind the R2. I’m not sure how they achieve this level of efficiency with always-on AWD. But yes, you can’t really take them off-road, there’s no spare tire, and Subaru puts 20-inch wheels on...

    It may attract some customers, I guess. They are not worse than any other non-Tesla-Rivian EV. only time will tell.

    I know Toyota did some kind of integration with Apple Maps that can fetch battery data. And this look interesting , but not sure how well it will work...

    Drivers of those cars just use Aa/carplay, you need "garbage software" for initial setup
