Are you measuring range from a full charge? (Say, 80 down to 20)? That can me quite different than the reading you are getting from, say, 30 to 50 miles of driving.
Are you plugged in while pre-cooling? Not sure if R2 has this capability, but ID4 can pre-cool and set charging to finish by a specific time, so it calculates the time needed to initiate the charge. In that way, your pre-cooling can occur while it is charging.

Exactly. Me too on the off ramp. Thatās one thing I will miss on R2 although presumably one should be able to drop out of self-drive mode and into regen simply by tapping the brake or reverse tapping the shift controller.

I would consider myself interested in efficiency, but anyone who has the muscle memory of downshifting will find the effort trivial, especially since there is no need for a clutch.

Sounds like a rough balance between the three, at least for most EV owners which essentially means Tesla owners (50% of EV market in U.S.). My guess is for a true SUV, there are other priorities as well.
This is all academic to me, since I donāt drive fast on road trips. I am a bit surprised by the difference between EPA and real world but itās pretty obvious that for those of us who do drive slower, the difference will become less meaningful.
I took my ID4 off-roading in Death Valley in June. Charging is easy, and nice roads nothing too rad. There are some tough roads just outside of the park.
