for the 2-3 times a year i might want to not charge at home, wouldn't want bundling of that to effect base price of car. certainly would trade it for a level 2 home charger
the longer bed would affect offroading negatively though right / takeoff angles and such?
they aren't making a work truck, as emphasized by branding.
how many 4 door trucks have full length 8' beds currently? particularly in the smaller trucks.. tacoma, ranger, etc.. i know when i bought my...
given Model Y is now ''fall of 2020", that puts it at same time frame as Rivian R1T. we know nothing about tesla truck but sure seems like it will be late to the party.
Yeah just thinking that to be 'responsible' (who does that on the internet?) the warning/qualification that Rivian has never suggested this is a real thing and these are fan renders of a patent application (also not publicized by rivian).. should of been on the image itself. Cause now, people...
These renders are getting a lot of redistribution on other EV sites. I'm sure it's good for drawing attention, but people don't copy the disclaimer about this having nothing to do with official Rivian when they link over. So, hopefully not setting expectations too high.. they may never intend...
voted no. tesla is using its own charging cable nobody else is using. they may be in lead but electrify america and others will catch up. plus, for those owning homes you're charging at home 95% of the time.
Rivian picked CCS standard which is becoming the standard/most popular, happy with that.
bollingers are going to be 10,000 lbs. making them class 3 (like a dump truck).

"We are going to be fully road legal to federal motor vehicle safety standards as a Class 3 Truck. We do not need to do airbags...
Can likely already answer that one, No. It's a legal requirement.
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued its final ruling in February 2018, and requires the device to emit warning sounds at speeds less than 18.6 mph (30 km/h) with compliance by September 2020, but 50%...
I hope the NYC show coincides with a formal production update of some kind / more info. It'll have been 4.5 months since the launch at the LA auto show by then, with yes several interviews and the branding ads but not too much on vehicles themselves. How about a featured update autonomy, or...
Yeah. As much as I like the car, I'm not going to fly to NYC for a friday night.. i'm not that baller ;) Besides, I have to save up my pennies so i can buy an R1T
check your email if your on their email list/pre-ordered.. yesterday there was an invitation to see them at an offsite event during show. had a link to get tickets. friday april 12th, 6-9pm
yeah my experience supports high regen = high recovered energy. its less wasted to brake heat. its not like charging efficiency best at slow as regen is still not as strong of energy as being plugged into wall.. i.e., strong regen < outlet power
i know on my plugin vehicle in normal mode, you dont notice it. in sport mode it brings on the regen hard.. actually charges the battery vs simply maintain/drop in level
can you link the representative RV trailer to get a picture of this config? what speed were you using?
wont the truck being in front of the trailer, with less drag help as the trailer is drafting behind the truck.. making things not quite as cut and dry ? dunno, never looked at RV specscbefore.
