Any clever idea to overcome no Android Auto / Apple Carplay?

I purchased it and had to return it for a number of reasons. It's more trouble than it's worth and I'd recommend against it. It randomly turns on when the vehicle is off and there is no fix for this. My vehicle is close enough to my office that it would connect as a bluetooth device and take...

Community NVH Thread - Share your fixes for noises, rattles, clunks, squeaks

These two pieces would squeak over bumps. I probably could have hidden the tape better but it's hard to see unless you're looking straight down. I have rattles in the seat belt adjusters in the B pillars too. No idea how to address those.

Community NVH Thread - Share your fixes for noises, rattles, clunks, squeaks

The panel seams for the dash by the door were rubbing and squeaking in my R1T. I used the felt side of 2" hook and loop strips to fix the noise. I pried the pieces apart and put the felt tape on the locations where they rubbed together.

    Keeping black plastic trim BLACK!?

I use this for treating the trim and it works great. I don't know if it lasts longer than what you're using but it's really easy to apply and gets rid of stubborn dirt and grime after a wash.

I'll say it... Driver+ getting worse, not better

My RTT obscures my fin and causes the same problem. It’s incredibly frustrating. I don’t understand why Driver+ needs to disengage because of minor gps issues. It’s not like the vehicle is jumping all around the navigation map. The nav system clearly knows I’m still on a mapped freeway.

The Mounting Company's Pelican Boxes mounted on Xtrusion Overland Bed Rack

I don't have it mounted at the moment so I can't give you a photo of the bed camera view but you can see the lens in one of these photos to get a good sense of what it can see.

Does the R2 actually kill Rivian?

That's great to hear. I'm almost embarrassed to say that I find myself wishing my R1T had a better power to weight ratio. It's not slow but I'd love it to get a little closer to Plaid X performance. Since it's not going to get any lighter, MORE POWER!

Does the R2 actually kill Rivian?

You're speculating on dropping the Bosch motors, right? Has Rivian announced the change? Considering the packaging challenges of fitting two more of the much larger Enduro motors and the low sales volume of the resulting $95k+ MSRP model, I wonder if it makes much sense to spend the limited R+D...

Rivian Access to Tesla Superchargers Begins Spring 2024, According to Tesla

That's great! I didn't realize they could hit those speeds. Last I heard, they were still limited to under 150kW.

Rear ended by a bus on my way to work

It can't believe that one is totaled. How about this one though? I don't think it's going to buff out. It reminds me of the video of the Rivian taking out the concrete barrier. I don't know about you but I feel a hell of a lot safer in my R1T after seeing that accident. It might get totaled in a...

Rear ended by a bus on my way to work

It's so depressing looking at all those smashed up R1s. Someone probably loved those cars. It also stinks that the R1s are so difficult to repair. Even relatively small accidents are causing massive repair bills. I know that's not a problem exclusive to Rivian but insurance rates are...

Rivian Access to Tesla Superchargers Begins Spring 2024, According to Tesla

As an EE, I know I'm not telling you something you don't know. But many people see peak output and think that tells them how fast their car will charge. We both know it doesn't. Rivian will have tested their vehicles on the V3 Supercharger and will have programmed a curve for that specific...

Rivian Access to Tesla Superchargers Begins Spring 2024, According to Tesla

Sadly, that's only half the equation. The vehicle determines the curve within the output of the charger. If Tesla limits voltage or amperage for non-Tesla vehicles as it has with the Magic Dock, our vehicles may not charge as quickly on a Supercharger as they do on a RAN charger.

Anyone tried Team 1EV's Apple CarPlay / Android Auto Smart Dash Screen? Looks like easy install.

The more I've had the thing, the more I'm with you. I loved it at first but it's probably more trouble than it's worth. Mine rattles quite a bit too.
