My car was definitely not in sleep mode when I installed it. No issues here. Only error codes was when I used an experimental fork. Main openpilot and stable fork of sunnypilot have been error free.

Yes lane hugging is model, not placement, related. You'll notice the side hugged changes depending on multiple factors - number of lanes, which lane you are in, presence of other cars, divided highway vs not - if you pay close attention over time and multiple scenarios.

I'd think merging into the sunnypilot mads branch would be adequate for my uses, just to get more frequent updates to the core code. Thanks for the update

Definitely agree with that assessment, but Sunny longitudinal is way too laid back, any kind of traffic and I have a merge fest in front of me. And yes, I have it set to aggressive, which honestly didn't make much of a difference. Also I get occasionally phantom braking on it. So for my use case...

I'm currently using Lukas sunny build. Thinking about going back to sunny mads prebuilt. Really like mads, can't go back to main fork anymore.

Careful this may be intended behavior. Open pilot biases towards the side of the lane that is safest - divided highway left lane, it'll bias you left. Right lane, it'll bias you right. Remounting may not be necessary.
