I just spoke with CS. Rivian needed to create a different letter for those that were refunded the $1000 and never charged back after reinstating. The $1000 must be charged again with the same stipulation that $100 is non-refundable as with other deposit holders.

By the way Rivian still claims I have a pre order but they decided to not recharge the deposit after I cancelled and then reinstated when they made good on original pricing.

I’ve never received this notification. Perhaps it’s because I withdrew my order when RJ jacked the price and they never charged back the $1000 deposit. Maybe those of us that bailed on the price increase need will never see a Rivian in our driveway.

The letter to preorder holders from RJ is sincere. And, RJ DID THE RIGHT THING! Let’s hope the Board of Directors allows him to make good. I’m not sure how this will all work out since I cancelled within minutes of notification and the preorder is wiped out from my account. How do they fix that...

IMHO, No comparison between RJ and Elon. I just can‘t imagine driving that Cyber Truck or looking at it in my driveway. Just my preference. Cyber Truck is like DeLorean on crack.
