Good advice. I usually install the winter tires about mid October. I hope I remember to make the change. I bought an XL tire cover off of Amazon and some one suggested putting kids heavy duty snow saucers on the top and bottom of the stack to keep the critters out. Got those from Amazon as well.

I have had brief shuddering (< 5 seconds) in my Gen 1 R1S when rapidly accelerating in conserve mode. The torque overwhelms the tire traction in the front tires. Scared me good the first time it happened. More likely to happen with damp or dirty tarmac.

I would do the same thing and leave it in and try to make it to the destination. If you begin to loose pressure, pull it, plug it. Hopefully it did not make it through the carcass.

I guess the question is are you loosing air before or after you remove the screw. If neither is true, just watch your tire pressure and drive on.

I have plugged these types of punctures with great success. If you want added security you can take it to a shop and have them remove the plug and have them patch it. But for me, plugging is enough.
