  1. UBER CFO buys R2 after Autonomy+ test drive

If the ride was unimpressive the CFO would have marched back to his office and crunched some numbers. I am not saying this was not marketing but also the CFO did not have to comment on this ride if he did not want to.
  2. UBER CFO buys R2 after Autonomy+ test drive

he goes 13 miles and gets an r2! Well at least he did not get a coastal cloud interior.
  3. What a day for an early adopter

R2 invite (r1 owner in Louisiana) TMB confirmation as well. Sadly still no light interior so I am holding out for a bit.
  4. R2- Delivery Address Change

There is an edit button for delivery address. Contact information must be change on your actual profile
  5. Transfer of R2 reservation

It seems like a transfer in the same household should be allowed. I know the policy but if I was going to sell on the secondary market I should just take delivery and sell it for $80k
  6. R2- Delivery Address Change

As a test I changed my delivery address from La to TX. This moved my delivery date up. Who will get the last laugh? Will I still be able to register my R2 in Louisiana? Or will Rivian reject my delivery?
  7. Four years, four R1Ts. An adventure and a bitter-sweet cautionary tale.

I know gen1 early adopters got a good value at purchase. But it appears Rivian will get their 20k+ and more over the life of these vehicles. My plan has also been 10 years of ownership then an r2 or r3 unless someone else makes a compelling vehicle in the next decade. (Watching Hyundais autonomy...
  8. Four years, four R1Ts. An adventure and a bitter-sweet cautionary tale.

I will admit, I have been cautiously optimistic about my gen1 R1S. I have had 3 service visits in 3 years. Steering wheel replaced for a bad sensor, and HVAC (wet floorboard) replaced twice, they also replaced 12v battery twice. RivianCare pricing will determine what I do out of warranty. Crazy...
  9. First R2 flip. $20K price premium added

Flipping Crazy. Greed gonna greed! https://www.cars.com/shopping/results/?models%5B%5D=rivian-r2&makes%5B%5D=rivian&zip=70612&maximum_distance=9999&sort=best_match_desc
  10. CNBC: A ‘perfect storm’ points to a much smaller U.S. auto market by 2040

Not surprising. New car sales in the US peaked 10 years ago. I still own my 16 year old wrangler but electrification was the only reason i bought a new car. So who knows what cars will look like in 10 years when i am ready to move on from my R1 https://www.cnbc.com/2026/06/28/us-auto-market.html
  11. Wet spot under driver mat

@NSRoamer thanks for the follow-up. I have put my rubber mats back in and I am dry after a week, I will continue to monitor the moisture. I am glad they know the cause of the problem but it is unfortunate that it is because of over-engineering. I am also glad to know it is ‘normal’ for it to...
  12. Wet spot under driver mat

@NSRoamer there is a hole near the driver’s door where is generally drains although sometimes it drains near the passenger side. Yes an annual replacement is very concerning but what concerns me more is that it seems to occur in gen 1 & gen 2. Let me know if you get more insight
  13. Wet spot under driver mat

@NSRoamer thanks. I can stick my pinky in the drain and water comes out. Unfortunately it is looking like I am going to have my third replacement.
  14. PSA for all Gen 1 owners! Check your carpets for signs of moisture

I have had mine replaced twice. Last week I noticed condensation under my drivers side mat. I am now using my chilewich mat and there is no moisture however my ac is draining on the passenger side and not drivers side. Welcome to be a first adopter. I keep wanting to upgrade but it appears the...
  15. Wet spot under driver mat

So here is what is weird..i am not back to the chilewich mats and they appear to stay dry the rubber mats had moisture build-up underneath. also my hvac is draining on the passenger side and not the driver’s side..
  16. Wet spot under driver mat

Mine has been repaired in houston. I would have thought if any city understood heat and humidity it would have been Houston. Oh well, welcome to early adoption.
  17. Wet spot under driver mat

Rivian really needs to open up rivianCare or honor recurring issues. Luckily this is their problem until 2028
  18. Wet spot under driver mat

I am at 18k. I have considered a gen 2 but cannot stomach spending $100k. Also the AC issue does not appear to be isolated to gen1 vehicles
  19. Wet spot under driver mat

Yes..I really want to keep this thing for 10+ years but the same repair 3x has me a bit concerned
