    Possible Fisker Bankruptcy

Looks like BK is imminent. Available vehicles have been pulled from their site. The Death Rattle has begun. Too bad, because the fundamentals of the vehicle seem OK, SW is what needs updating. https://electrek.co/2024/03/25/fiskers-talks-with-large-automaker-fall-through-announcement-pending/

    Insurance + Data logging

I received a letter from Lexis Nexis today with a link to download my report. It's quite long with every historical phone number, address, email address, credit inquiry, loan and recent insurance claim (glass chip repair). I can confirm that there is no driving data from Rivian (or Lucid) in...

Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

After my 12V battery was replaced, mine dropped to ~0.7%, I did another test and disabled vehicle WiFi and 24hr use dropped to 0.5~0.6% ... I agree, I don't think that there is anything else we can do until Rivian further optimizes 12V usage. But for those that are seeing their vehicle wake up...

Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

I had my R1S serviced in Eastvale, CA and one of my complaints was constant waking every 2ish hrs for 45min-1hr (GG, etc off) and was originally seeing about 2-3% drain, but subsequent drain after recent FW dropped to 1ish% -- confirmed using Electrafi. They diagnosed and found that the 12V...

    Rodent attack...now what?

What company / type of policy do you have? This should be covered under your Comprehensive insurance. I've never heard of a rodent-specific exclusion. If you insurance company insists, have them point out in the policy where the exclusion is called out.

    Insurance + Data logging

Just submitted a request for my data. It's my understanding that in California that insurance companies can't use driving data to determine rates (but I could be wrong). Will be interesting to see what they have on me. Note, you can also request to delete all of your personal data or to not...

BestEvMod Mud Flaps for R1T Available Now

These look good ... why are they not R1S compatible? And when will R1S become available? R1S will be the higher volume vehicle.

Would you Sell to Carmax for 72k or Private Sell for Possibly 76-78k?

I sold my Tesla Model S to Givemethevin ... they offered the most as compared to Carmax, KBB and others, money was deposited directly into my bank account in minutes. Pays to shop around. I honestly didn't want to deal with strangers and run the risk of something shady happening or getting...

R2 production to be at Normal plant!

Which at this point is a blessing in disguise! If they were further along on the GA plant, it would have been a much more difficult decision for Rivian.

R2 / R3 charge port -- NACS, Passenger Rear Side location

Yea ... that location is not going to help at supercharger locations. Plenty of time for them to move it to the rear driver side. Or put it on front passenger side as many people hate backing into spaces.

Does the R2 actually kill Rivian?

The biggest impact the R2 platform will have to Rivian will be service. Currently, in many areas, Service Centers are overwhelmed and have multiple months wait for an appointment - I just dropped my R1S off after waiting over 3 months for an appointment. The R2 is expected to be even higher...

āš”ļø Rivian announces: March Tesla Supercharger access & free NACS adapters!

Looks like about half in So Cal are currently open to other EVs ā€¦ the issue will be that many CCS vehIcles will take 2 spots. I predict that this will anger Tesla owners at busy locations...

āš”ļø Rivian announces: March Tesla Supercharger access & free NACS adapters!

Not sure if this was posted .... I expect the same thing to happen to Rivian. I suspect that they will open orders up during the R2 announcement event. Ford order link crashes as EV customers rush to get free Tesla charging adapter...

Is this normal - LOUD fan noise

As mentioned, it's the pedestrian warning system. I am not a fan of the whooshing sound and would have preferred something that as more discernible. My Volt had a futuristic whirring sound that was very obvious.

Should I return to R1T......... and Trade in 2023 Tesla Model S to lease a new R1T

You will take a bath on that Model S if you trade it in. But ultimately, do what makes you happy as long as you have the finances. YOLO!
