I have both the iX and the R1S. Love them both. Overall, my wife prefers the iX and I prefer the R1S.
Range is fantastic on the iX (materially better than R1S), and ride quality is very good.
A few obvious differences beyond the looks. The Rivian is a much bigger vehicle. It's 7 seats...
Also to be clear the tax liability is in total for the year. It doesn't matter whether you were over or under paid at the time you file your taxes, just that over the course of the year your total tax liability was greater than the credit.
Phone key: generally has worked, except for once. It unlocked the door, but then refused to let me drive. Had to call service and get walked through rebooting the car, deleting the app on my phone etc to get going again.

In fairness, the complaint is not the communication style or lack thereof, it’s the repeated missed promises on timing. Of course, Rivian isn’t alone in this, but it’s not exactly surprising that people are frustrated (including me)
