  1. Rivian is failing me BIG TIME

With summer nearly upon us, I'm really hoping there is a legitimate solution to the tonneau cover soon. Mine is disabled open. It's been the better part of a year not having an option I paid for, and with all of the hiking and beach gear I had plan to stow safely and securely in the bed, my...
  2. Learned that the Manual tonneau cover can be replaced w/ redesigned Powered tonneau via retrofit install -- can anyone corroborate?

Can it go the other way? I've been waiting 6 months (I know others have waited longer) for my power cover to get fixed/upgraded. I'm at the point were I'd almost settle for manual panels to cover the bed so I can actually use it as intended.
  3. Official Rivian Email: A Look Ahead to 2023. Rivian Membership cancelled and unbundled into subscription services

What is most important to me is defining which services are considered Beta and what are considered ordinary/already purchased. I think this email only conveyed some of the beta services. Are regular updates beta? Is capability that already exists (horsepower, torque) considered...
  4. Sub-Zero Extreme Cold Drive – R1T’s Range Hit Pretty Hard

After the blast chiller came through my door handles, mirror, and charge port were all frozen shut. I didnā€™t know until I walked out and heard the handles try to open and the mirrors try to extend. Hoping nothing gets stripped out a I try to unthaw to a usable condition
  5. 2022.47.0 software update installed w/ SNOW MODE!

Just installed the new software. While it hasn't snowed yet, I'm excited to have this option now available. More useful to me on a daily basis is the ability to turn on heated seats/steering wheel while I'm making coffee before I depart in the morning. The only thing left on my wish list...
  6. Officially Unofficial R1T Build Quality Production Ramp Thread

R1T is in 83XX VIN range - No issues that impact the driving of the vehicle; in fact drives amazingly true with no shakes, wobbles, or noises. - Delivered with a disabled tonneau - Trim on around right front wheel is missing a clip and comes loose. Requires visit to service center for repair...
  7. Rivian Windshield Washer Fluid

Anyone know what type of washer fluid Rivian uses? I'm interested in buying more of whatever comes with the vehicle as it seems to work better than what I've used in the past.
  8. Loose Fender Trim - Requires visit to service center

I get your perspective, but not really how service is being marketedā€¦..
  9. Loose Fender Trim - Requires visit to service center

Reported a piece of loose trim several weeks ago and was just informed I have to bring it to the Richmond service center (134 miles, 2.5-5hrs each way depending on DC traffic). I understand the trim contains a camera, but Iā€™m amazed this is beyond the abilities of the mobile techs. Iā€™m also...
  10. Gear Guard Plushy now available in Rivian Gear Shop Store

The Gary plushy should come with fur covering his eyes......more true to form that way.
  11. Gear Guard failed me..... didn't record this door dent

Certainly looks like it. I didnā€™t notice it early this morning when I got in or out and I opened the now damaged door to get my bag. Same sequence last night when I got home. I give the the truck a good look every time I get in, so think I would have noticed if it happened earlier. Sad thing...
  12. Gear Guard failed me..... didn't record this door dent

1st PDR guy to get back to me said the dents are too sharp. Not the answer I was hoping for. I wonā€™t be buying a Gary Plushy.
  13. Gear Guard failed me..... didn't record this door dent

So came out from work this morning and noticed two small dents in the rear door on driver's side. I jumped in the truck hoping to find out what caused them from gear guard video.....nothing. I can see me open the door yesterday and there are no dings. Other than that nothing but people...
  14. [UPDATES IN NEW THREAD] Tow to Rivian Service Centers is now a Charged Fee (as of 10/6/22) šŸ’°

They better be making mobile calls for all the tonneau fixes. No way Iā€™m driving 300 miles round trip to Richmond after they told me it passed all checks and then delivered it with a broken tonneau. My delivery rep told me they would come to my house.
  15. Camp Speaker... POS?

Iā€™ve had my truck for over a month - at some point Iā€™ll get around to trying the speaker outā€¦.not something that matters much. Gear tunnel and frunk on the other hand getting used multiple times daily. Storage drawer would have been far more useful for me since I have a couple Bose Bluetooth...
  16. Title, license plate (transfer or new) and registration

Received my R1T on 25 Aug. was able to self register and get my FL tag on 21 Sep. Much easier than I thought - actually a very positive/easy experience at the DMV. Also nice not having to pay for a service that has put some folks in extremis. My Guide (Mark E) helped me get all the paperwork...
  17. 2022.35 OTA software update rumors?

    - Dashcam - Access to Gear Guard videos from my phone similar to Blink - shift audio playback window to driver side of touch screen - More Apps/improved Alexa/Spotify/Prime Music integration
  18. Broken tonneau, cracked roofs, pooling water, keys not working....taking delivery now seems like a joke.

I can understand where youā€™re coming from to a point as my truck was delivered with a non-operational tonneau after they told me it passed inspection. - I was pissed they put me in the position of having to choose to accept a truck with a broken feature I paid for after it was delivered and...
  19. Keep the Lightning or R1T ?

Dealer offered me a Lariat 3 weeks before my R1T arrived. After multiple test drives/ rides I gave up my Lightning reservation and took delivery of my R1T. Extremely happy I did. The size is perfect for me. Existing cup holders are just fine, kids have more room in the back of the R1T than...
