No tax credit for Rivian (effective April 18, 2023)

Wow.......interesting times. I wonder if this is not one of the final "nails" on Rivian's coffin? I hope not, as I still think of the dual motor R1T as a candidate for my next vehicle. When I looked at the " car options" for tax credit on Fueleconomy.gov website, none really stand out, so I...

Why doesn't Rivian badge the Quad?

How about stickers??? Plenty of ways to "rice" up your truck

    Canceling? What to do?

Although there might be some missguided folks who recommend "flipping" the car, if you don't need/want it, just cancel. It's not a heart transplant, you can opt out.

    Kia EV9 Specs are out

The future of EV sales (at least for now) will be based on $$$$ per range.......bottom line "range anxiety" is the biggest detrimental factor.

Thinking about returning R1T, need some help.

For that kind of $$$$ I would return it. I saw the original photos......yikes.......not for my hard earned cash....no sir.

Cramer issues a sell on Rivian stock

Any of you nice folks could recommend a couple of platforms to buy stocks (not interested in day trading), as I do not want to mess with my 401K and other accounts I have. Thanks in advance!

Experience: Snow Mode is great on pavement w/ compact snow & ice, but All Terrain Mode is better for deep snow

Glad to see that I-90 is no match for the Rivian, even in severe weather conditions.

    R1T Rollover Flipped!

Besides the obvious "Here hold my beer" situation, I would not be surprised if this genius pulls the "my tires were not properly inflated" defense like that BMW guy a few years back...... :CWL:

Rivian R1S vs BMW iX comparison review by Car and Driver

I've seen both, and the BMW is truly a god awful looking car. I would rather burn $100K than drive in it.

My Rivian R1T Repurchase / Buyback Experience & Replacement

There is indeed a statistical "bias" on these threads, however, when you read about issues with mechanical parts (i,e, the shaft issues, tonneau cover, suspension, etc ) that can't be fixed with an update, that is when you get my attention.

My Rivian R1T Repurchase / Buyback Experience & Replacement

It is concerning to say the least the significant issues reported on this blog and on the Rivian FB page. I truly hope these are "worked out" before my due date, otherwise I will have to punt. Bummer....

Rivian plant workers report safety issues causing injuries, crushed/broken limbs, faulty sensors... Anyone remember the film Christine?

Who remembers Elon's "Production Hell"??? See, to me the biggest cocern would be the corrupt Pieces of S**t from the UAW union sticking their paws in Rivian.

Tonneau Dilema!! Do I accept a 'Locked' Power Cover?

If I HAD to buy a truck, I would choose open. Since I am ok waiting for 1-2 years, I would not take a product that is "pending a fix"......just my $0.02

    Alignment woes

So, not a day goes by without any new issues being reported. I do feel concerned when people are having to pay for independent shops to help them fix issues on their $90K brand new truck.....

Driving on wet roads in conserve mode

We had 2 Honda Pilots before our Q7, and these are front wheel biased cars. I distinctly remember that both had more wear on the front tires over time. Just anecdotal TBH.
