I'm way down the list for my rivian NACS adapter, so looking to pick up a second-hand one from someone who bought one and received the rivian one. I'm wondering which is better, or is it a toss-up? I thought there was a thread on this but didn't find it.
R1T, my wife and I have phones with different providers (mint, verizon). It's not clear to me what the signal bars in the upper right of the screen show. My phone is not always on when I am driving. Today, we passed a tower and my wife's phone showed all bars, but the truck showed only one...
I thought of that already; it doesn't tell you anything about what happened while you were driving. As you said, it only reports usage while you were charging.
Why do you say it's not terribly useful? The difference in battery warming is dramatic between outside and inside parking, as is the amount used for climate control. If one is concerned about range, understanding how those affect range seems pretty useful. In this case, one could decide...
I recently saw screenshots of Lightning energy usage after a day's drive. It showed battery usage broken down into four categories:
Climate use
Driving
Accessories
Exterior Temperature
I believe "Exterior Temperature" is warming the battery; the data was for extreme winter driving. (-19F to...
That's the curve that caused me a lot of trouble. Tweaking it is a nightmare, or at least it is for me. If it's ~1mm short all the way around, making the rectangular part of the bottom 1mm longer might snug it up and leave the curve as is.
A different / additional fix would be to make the...
@Polar Looks good. That's about the point mine pried up the bed...
I put this off knowing I'd burn through filament, also thinking I couldn't get it close enough. One reason I wanted to use nylon originally was I figured I could deform it to fit the last mm.
I've wondered about a scanner...
Thanks. I hope that works. My attempt to print this using Talman 645 with glue everywhere and a 10mm brim resulted in the part sticking fine, but still warping and pulling the magnetic sheet up from the print bed. I've since printed some clips to help hold the sheet to the bed but haven't...
I see you're running a prusa MK4; mine is an MK3S. Can you send me the print and filament settings you're using for nylon? What kind of nylon are you using?
Side note, I didn't even try to position the front divider accurately. Almost left it off completely, but decided it was useful to stand things up. Others might find it a PITA and prefer it omitted. If you can work with the model (.FCStd file) and not the .stl, I believe you can simply delete...
Let me know if it fits/works. Be careful inserting it. Getting the USB cable to stay out of the way and under its "box" while you slide the back tabs in place was a bit frustrating. Also, the tabs for the front snap-clips tended to be brittle and can be broken easily, at least with PLA / PETG...
Unfortunately, it was mostly painful iterations. Measured as much as I could with a micrometer; totally missed/omitted a few of the protrusions first time around. Fortunately 3 of the 4 edges are straight, so it was only the front edge that was as issue. Also fortunately there is "air" below...
I pulled out the console puck charger in our R1T because neither of our phones can use it, and decided to turn the space into a small tray.
Model (FreeCAD) and .stl file on printables.com. It's not a uniform space, unfortunately; the bumps on the side are to accomodate protrusions, and the box...
Thanks all for the butt pointer. I remember reading about that once upon a time but(!) totally forgot. Will try to keep that in mind.
yes
Yeah, I thought about that pretty quickly too. Both when connecting and when backing up with the trailer.
I just leave the door open.
But what I don't...
After 4 years we finally got our R1T in January... yea! Only recently started dealing with towing as I had to get different stingers to drop the ball a bit. Tested towing our 3 horse trailer without any issues, and backed it into storage successfully without issue. That was mostly a straight...
