  1. CO to CA (1100+ Miles) with R1T & ABRP was a painless, truly enjoyable trek!

Wow, congratulations on your successful journey! I have to say though, hearing how well EA worked for you is almost as shocking as how poorly I found EA stations to work (if they worked at all) through California, Oregon and Idaho, as well as in Calgary on my trip from the Bay Area to Calgary...
  2. R1S car camping air mattress recommendations?

UPDATE: Couple of upgrades I forgot to mention: 1. 1-2" memory foam topper on top of the Expedition makes it truly a luxury experience. 2. Finding a sheet/cover for the Megamat Auto was not easy, but the one offered by Luno Life fits fairly well, especially with the 2" memory foam topper. It...
  3. Camping in R1S - First time thoughts

PRO TIP: Look up Megamat Auto for a perfect fit. :)
  4. R1S car camping air mattress recommendations?

The DUO 10 M is 72" long, the Megamat Auto is 76". I bought it for the 10" extra shoulder room and can say it made a big difference with two sleepers.
  5. SF Bay Area Rivian Club

Hi, is that a frontrunner slimline II roof rack? Looks like they make them though 'out of stock' on their website.
  6. SF Bay Area Rivian Club

    EA is shockingly dysfunctional.
  7. SF Bay Area Rivian Club

Congrats on the R1S! I'd recommend acquainting yourself with the Rivian app Planner. I used this on a recent trip from SF Bay to Calgary, Canada and it worked quite well. Just enter your destination, your starting parameters (location and SOC), and how much charge you wish to have on arrival...
  8. R1S car camping air mattress recommendations?

I've been an ExPed fan for a while. I tried the ExPed MegaMat Duo 10, and though it is fantastic, the ExPed MegaMat Auto is pretty much the same with approx. 10 extra inches of shoulder room - and is a perfect fit! And - bonus - ExPed also sells a cool compact pump/lantern/phone backup battery...

https://rivian.com/experience/charging#map You can also look these up in the Rivian app map. I recently drove up to Banff, Canada and used the planner on the app extensively. But do double-check third party charger status independently from their respective apps to ensure they are up and running.
  10. California WTB: 20" OEM AT

I tried to buy one (twice today), but they literally told me 'legal' would not allow R1S owners to buy the full sized spare, which they said was for R1T's only. You can't just buy it anonymously, you need to call Rivian service and provide your account info, so they can tell which vehicles you have.
  11. SF Bay Area Rivian Club

@Cafireman I know because when I tried, my wall charger would not work with my Rivian despite many websites saying it is compatible. I dug around (not enough) long enough to say f*** it, and got my Rivian wall charger installed, replacing my Tesla charger (at that time the Rivian charger was in...
  12. California WTB: 20" OEM AT

Bay Area owner here interested in purchasing one 20" AT full-sized spare for my R1S since RIVN won't sell me one.
  13. SF Bay Area Rivian Club

For your Tesla wall charger, you have to enable it to charge non-Teslas - by default it will only charge Teslas. Ask me how I know :) This is the adapter I purchased for my Tesla wall charger: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09M6KFV9T/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
  14. SF Bay Area Rivian Club

Anyone from Bay Area have a 20" AT spare they are wishing to sell?
  15. Full Size spare tire and wheel now available in Rivian Gear Shop!

Good luck with that - 'Legal' won't let you buy it if you don't have an R1S.
  16. Full Size spare tire and wheel now available in Rivian Gear Shop!

WTH - I'm in the same boat. What do they care what I intend to do with the tire - just let me buy the damned thing!
  17. California NO LONGER FOR SALE: NIB Rivian Wall Charger - $600 (OBO) plus shipping

Decided to swap my Tesla charger with this one. In fact the Tesla charger didn't work with the adapter so I nuked it (removed it gently and will put it up for sale) and installed the Rivian charger. The Rivian charger is better quality - cable is much beefier and pliable.
  18. Using Tesla wall charger with the Rivian?

Thanks for the tips, @Phatman113 . I will try the destination charger idea. I did just return home from an EV GO fast charger. After two failed chargers, the third one worked. All three were CCS. So, at least I know that the car itself will charge if plugged into a working charger. I did reset...
