  1. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

The truck was sold to a very nice gentleman who was pleased to get it; happy parties on both sides :)
  2. Other Location Looking to Sell? Know this first!

Actually, my complaint is about transparency. They're obviously free to conduct auctions one-at-a-time if they feel that's in their best interests. (I'm not sure how it's in the seller's best interest if he has to wait weeks to realize a sale of a depreciating asset, and I'm not sure how it's...
  3. Other Location Looking to Sell? Know this first!

I want to add; Bring a Trailer did the same thing. Except they first took a 99 dollar listing fee. THEN they told me it would be weeks until it would be listed. I will say that when I complained, they quickly agreed to refund my money.
  4. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

You guys are absolutely right; it's why it made me so upset that C&B took 8 days to tell me that they were 3-4 weeks from listing mine. I would have gone straight to BaT if I had known. The broker had approached me early on and I said he could offer it to his customers over the weekend after I...
  5. Other Location Looking to Sell? Know this first!

I was planning to sell my truck via Cars and Bids. Over the course of eight days they had me jump through their various hoops- "yes, you've been accepted, now send us this" only on the EIGHTH day did they bother to tell me that it would be 3-4 weeks until my auction appeared because of other...
  6. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

I would assume that means 3 or 4 vehicles since the auctions are one week long.
  7. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

Yes, I just moments ago found out from Cars and Bids that my truck would not be listed for 3-4 weeks. This really ticked me off as I had been "accepted" by them 8 days ago without a word at that time, or any time since, that there would be a delay. Apparently they only want to offer one at a...
  8. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

Sorry, I forgot to answer this promptly. The comparison is casual, but definitely easy to hear. When I rode in one at an open house, it was on the 20" wheel. When they came to me for my first drive I took it out on a nearby stretch of highway that I'm very familiar with; I wanted to try to...
  9. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

I personally agree with both of the above statements. I don't mind the scrutiny, or the challenges, or even what I would just plain call "the haters". I expected that based on many earlier posts by others who began selling either their trucks or their place in line. I don't understand their...
  10. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

I pretty much agree with the sentiment, but I would argue that no one knew (or at least I didn't know) in advance that these would be high demand/low supply when I put down the deposit. And they wouldn't have been if all the unforeseen issues at Rivian hadn't arisen. In fact I didn't even know...
  11. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

Whew, right!? I believe it will come back, but not sure if I have enough conviction to double down. A year from now people might easily say, "remember when you could buy Rivian for only x?"
  12. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

I had to try REAL hard NOT to enjoy it! You should see the texting to my wife about changing my mind :) I barely drove it, maybe 12 miles, because it was too sweet! So I'm just walking past it in our garage trying not to look; I feel it's like the pretty woman walking down the sidewalk, just...
  13. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

Thank you sir! For my best use, I really need to be able to put a cap on for covered, dry transport, but easily remove it for Home Depot building supplies. I debated getting the R1S, but it's just too hard to load (think 80lb bags of mortar mix, concrete block, etc.) compared to a truck bed...
  14. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

I'm not sure why all the hate on the making money; in general, yes, I like to make money, though that was not part of the original equation. And to Mr. aptly named Venom, yes, I did know the bed length, but if you actually read my OP, you might have seen that my needs changed over the years...
  15. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

A lot has changed since I put my order in a few years ago. One of the factors is that I just need a longer (6 foot) bed for transporting paintings. The truck is gorgeous, by far the best looking out there, and wonderfully fast and functional, but... Combined with the premium they're bringing...
  16. Colorado R1T Launch Green, Forest Edge for sale

Listing soon on Cars and Bids with no reserve, Launch Green with Forest Edge interior and 21" road wheels with full sized spare. 50 miles. This will be the first one (on C&B) with the green interior which is so much nicer looking, especially with LG exterior, IMO, than the same charcoal...
  17. For those installing PPF on Rivian

I typically "shave" the lettering off my cars. The one time that I thought I might have replace the double sided tape and reposition the entire backside model, marque, edition lettering the dealer bodyshop told me that much easier (and way cheaper if you're paying for labor) is to replace with...
  18. 21” Wheel Blackout

It can easily last a couple of years if you don't go at it hard with scrub brushes. Easy to touch up stone nicks, too.
  19. 21” Wheel Blackout

I will probably play with mine as well. Plastidip is a cheap and easy way to try things out. Also vinyl wrap. And you only have to do one side to try something out for a few hours/day/weeks to see what you think; no one can see both sides of the vehicle at one look.
