Increased tire noise from OEM Pirelli 20" ATs after 13k miles
Iāve had them reset mine from 21ā to 20ā, but I havenāt asked for a recalibration of the 20ā to 60-series. Once I switch, Iāll ask them to change config back to 21ā to keep speed info the same. -

Aha, gotcha. Iām switching down to 60s, myself. Finally decided Range is King (for me) and Iām so very tired of the noise. Will keep the ATs around for a 2nd set of wheels when I get around to it. I love the LTXs. Had them on an MDX a while back and they were fantastic in every condition... -
Storing R1T while plugged into 120v socket - Concerns?
Heat + SOC + Time is the killer of batteries. Keep the SOC down to 50-60% and youāll be fine. Phantom losses - letās assume a terrible 3-4% per day, so 5kWh per day max - means youāre running nominally 200 watts. (I donāt think thatās how the Rivian pulls power, btw - itās probably more... -

Michelin has your back! Iām about to switch over to the same time. Itās available in 60-series and 116 load. If you need to go 65, then that is a different story. FYI they show up in stock all over the place at Americaās Tire (aka @Discount Tire here in California). -
Odd issue - Steering wheel position changed by itself
Thereās only one explanation ā¦ My seat sometimes misbehaves (I have roomy entry/exit turned on). I cannot find any correlation, except one, and thatās if the car goes to sleep while itās unlocked, seems to happen more often.- mikehmb

20” Bright wheels apparently discontinued
They announced that a while back, but kept then around for a bit longer than expected. Itās a bummer - I like them. Especially since they open up all sorts of options for color customization. -

R1T wind buffeting is bad.
Iāve never had a car where I could only open the rear windows and not feel like my eardrums were going to blow out. The buffeting is bad on the R1T, but IMO no worse than any other vehicle Iāve owned. Was so bad on my last Tundra Iād actually lock out the windows so my kids didnāt accidentally...- mikehmb

Car died after 6 days of delivery
Good news that they got it diagnosed so quickly. This is the first Iāve heard of the heater module failing but it does make a lot of sense given the symptoms you described. fwiw catastrophic failures are rare - surprisingly so for a new OEM and new vehicle. Auto climate control?
Rivian absolutely perform(s)(ed) interior temp control to protect electronics - esp the displays. Iāve seen it first hand a number of times. Unclear if it still does as it hasnāt gotten hot enough here since last summer. May have been deprecated in software if it wasnāt necessary per Rivian...- mikehmb

Brake Failure and Axle Boot Tear
Brake fluid is relatively clear. Itās difficult to see with the mess that your CV joint made as to what other leaks may be in there. If some debris/etc managed to slice your CV it may also have damaged your brake line.- mikehmb

Rivian charger or Tesla universal charger?
Welcome to the EV club! Definitely familiarize yourself with some of the details of EV ownership - terminology, charging networks (itās a mixed bag at best), adapters, etc. The Rivian is by far our best EV of the three weāve owned, and IMO much better than the last gas truck we had. -

āMiles per hourā is dependent on the efficiency of the vehicle. What the vehicle accepts in terms of kW (and amperage) will determine how quickly - or slowly - the battery can charge.
