Unfortunately, ProTech told me they were too busy and the potential market was too small. That was about 2 years ago and I have since sold my R1T.
Maybe if more people contacted them, they could see the potential market being much larger.
The problem is not the unplugging and plugging back in, it is the repeated heating and cooling cycles of the charging that will weaken the spring tension of the receptacle. Other issues are often the actual wire to receptacle connection, the heating and cooling and loosen up the contact and that...
Not sure if you have found one, but I am trading in all Black 22 R1T, with 22" dark sport wheels with 26k miles into Porsche of Bend today. Should fit your price target.
Which wheels (even better if you have a link) did you install? I have been swapping my OEM and winter tires for the past 2.5 years now on the OEM wheels. At $100 for each mounting I have spent $600 for mounting / dismounting and a trip to the SC for a damaged TPMS sensor already. Might be time...
While this looks like a great idea, I would be concerned about spills from above or even condensation from a drive through cup dripping into the electrical contacts of the exposed adapter.
12 tires and wheels. A layer of 4 on the bottom, followed by 2 rows of 4. 1 strap low through each wheel and 1 high to hold it all down. Then a 300 mile trip.
Yes, the 12V socket removal in the frunk was a letdown as well as the camp kitchen that never came and they removal of my tonneau cover and spare tire one month before delivery (Dec 2022). Tire issue has been solved.
I have had a variety of issues over the past 2 years, but I knew that I was...
The DOT has some really old regs that really don't make any sense anymore. For example, on brake lights, they have to initially light up 2 sq in, hence you don't see any of the nice sequential lights, unless they light up all of them and then fade away. LED lights are so much brighter, that the...
This feature has been on BMW's for quite some time, it is called anti dazzle (not sure who came up with that name) and it has been available outside of the US for a while. You could change the coding to enable that on US vehicles if you wanted to (not sanctioned of course).
One can hope, battery pricing is probably a big chunk of the cost and those are coming down quickly. I Put down a rezzy for each one (no range extender), we shall see what comes of that.
In my case it is not a hatred of AT&T, but rather lack of reception of AT&T. On the island I live on, T-Mobile rules, so I tether to my phone instead. If we had options of different providers, it would be a no brainer.
That is a big fat Yawn from me. Where is the benefit for the person getting the referral, ie. a financial incentive, even if only $500 or something like that. I don't see this being wildly successful. Who is going to refer 25 people.....?
I had my powered cover removed along with all gear store items including the spare, floor mats, about a month before delivery based on an email from Tony (service/support guy). I had to fight to get them to honor the spare tire pricing later, I might have to do the same with the tonneau cover as...
I had mobile service a couple of days ago from the Tualatin, OR service center, I am about an hour north of there. The service vehicle was a R1T, the tech said they also use some EDV's, but he prefers the pickup.
