I totally agree with this comment. Just supply an adapter and call it done. For me, the CSS network isn’t that good and is sparse. Really keeps us from taking the Riv a lot of the time. If I had the adapter, we’d be golden. The SC network is everywhere and reliable with reliability being the...
As others have said I’ve switched to conserve mode many times on the freeway. I just try not to have the drivetrain under load when switching. Meaning not under severe acceleration and or de-acceleration.
I'm all in on OTA updates. Been doing it for a few years with Tesla and when its available I update.
The technology thats in these vehicles is no different than other high tech hardware. Things like this are bound to happen unfortunately.
Having said that... I kicked off my update about 60m ago.
Out of Spec Motoring has talked a lot about this issue with EA. As a matter of fact, he was on a road trip and encountered this issue a few times. Short story, Rivian engineers were able to review logs from the truck that verifies that its an EA issue. I'm not sure what software changes you'd...
Ok I stand corrected. Never really saw it before but yes, trailer braking works just like any other truck. Like I mentioned before with my application regen is good enough and rarely touch the brake pedal. Haha
Having said that, brilliant application by Rivian using the button in the steering...
Really? I don't seem to notice anything from the trailer when braking but then again like I've mentioned before, my trailer is relatively light so the regen may be doing all the work instead.
I'll have to ramp up the gain pretty high and get it a test.
The discussion was around towing and not being in "towing mode" while actually towing. I agree that it shouldn't be an issue but the truck does notify you when switching out of tow mode that you could cause damage hence the reason I originally asked.
Ah good point. That wasn't front of mind with me. My enclosed trailer varies in weight but its about 3000lbs empty and regen works great for me with a little braking applied at times.
Honestly, pressing a button on steering wheel when you need trailer brakes to work is counterintuitive to me...
Can anyone that feels they have the fixed/updated/new tonneau post a video. I like to see how it travels and sounds.
I'm 5 months in with mine. Try and keep it clean, lubricate rails every other week. Its been working ok however sounds labored opening and closing. When in closes completely it...
Has anyone pulled a trailer yet using Conserve mode?
I asked since I have about a half dozen times and it pulls just as good (suspension stiff - ride height normal - auto off). When I was in for service I asked about this since we have a typical trip that uses a freeway with no charging...
Mine are all listed above but I don't believe I've seen this one.
When I get in the truck I want my main screen where it was. Not on saved security videos telling me to put it in Park to view. If I want to view the videos I'll navigate to them.
Just send a notification to app or a little...
I'd like my frunk to actually be locked if the truck is locked.
I just walked up to my locked truck and opened my frunk. I know they just added the ability to close your frunk if your truck is locked but I think the software has a bug since mine will open as well.
Do us a favor. Please post a video of your cover opening completely and then close it completely. I bet we'll all know the difference based on its movement and sound. Thanks in advance.
I feel like I'm getting close to joining the tonneau club. After the update Monday, probably just a coincidence, it now sounds labored while opening and closing. Lubed again and reset vehicle did nothing.
Spoke with support and they opened a ticket so I can get in line. Based on my discussion...
After a day with this new update I have to say the vent behavior is much better. It seemed like the vents stayed in the same spot all day. The rear AC still turns on every time even though it’s off so that annoying bug still exists.
