Oh really? That’s awesome. I’m definitely holding out then.
  7. NACS to CCS adapter

The information I’ve seen gave me the impression that they were going to give them. However, I find that highly unlikely. Most likely they’ll make them available for purchase in the shop is my assumption.

  10. North Texas Rivian Club

I ceramic coated mine myself. It wasn’t hard and took about. 4 hours including a fine detailed wash and the coating. I would definitely recommend a ceramic coat. I’m fairly short and would recommend running boards. Even in kneel mode I have to put a bit of extra effort to getting in and out...
  11. North Texas Rivian Club

I have ocean coast in my R1T. It’s 6 months old with 13k miles. I don’t have kids but I do have 2 Great Pyrenees I frequently take places. It has held up great so far. Any marks have come off easily with some of Adam’s vinyl cleaner. I’d recommend it. I live near downtown Ft worth if you’d...
  12. Received my manual tonneau cover and the slats already broke

I just got mine yesterday. It was also delivered my ups, except it wasn’t even in a box. I checked my ring camera and the guy set it in the porch and then realized there wasn’t even a shipping label on the case. so he went back to the truck and presumably tore it off the box and then came and...
  13. North Texas Rivian Club

Yes, you have to use the app to pay. It’s even easier than the other charging apps from my experience.
  14. North Texas Rivian Club

That’s frustrating. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of the Tesla network going down. Hopefully it’s just a fluke and not related to the magic docks.
  15. North Texas Rivian Club

Tesla Superchargers in north Arlington on Eastchase now have the Magic Dock. Just stopped by to check it out and briefly charged. It worked beautifully. It's a great location with chargers open from both sides and even a spot for a truck with trailer to pull up and not block traffic.
  16. Flat tire. No spare.

I literally had this happen to me yesterday. I was driving home from Houston to ft worth and got a flat in I-45 in Conroe. I contacted my insurance instead of Rivian and it took nearly 2 hours to get a tow truck. Then 2/3 open shops, pep boys and NTB, said they couldn’t handles Rivian. That left...
  17. Off-Roading in Texas?

I’ve been wanting to go out to Bridgeport OHV but haven’t had the chance yet. Hopefully I’ll make it in the next few weeks. If I do, ill check back in.
  18. First Ever EV Road Trip into a Charging Desert

That may be almost as tough as my recent trip. Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama aren’t exactly charging oasis. Best of luck to you!
  19. First Ever EV Road Trip into a Charging Desert

That would be one heck of a drive. Even without charging issues, it was about 11 hours from Fort Worth. I was really hoping they were going to be doing the test launch when we started planning the trip. I'm thinking I may try to head down for it if I can get the time off.
