@Mark_AZR1T I noticed that your XL Magnetic High Lift Jack Puck is only on pre-order right now. Without this, is it possible to jack up the rear of a Rivian with a Big Red 10T Bottle Jack and stack 4 regular pucks?
Amazing journey - thanks for sharing!
Did you record any details about the truck and energy used? Like:
- How many total miles?
- How much energy was used?
- What was your state of charge at the beginning and end?
- What tires are you using (I couldn't quite make them out in the video).

Ordered on June 12th, they scheduled pickup shortly after that for June 26th in San Jose, CA. We had to push it back to June 30th to match our own schedule.
I suspect they had a number of vehicles already in San Jose, or scheduled to be delivered there.
For our Gen2 R1S Dual Motor Standard Pack, we seem to gain 1% overnight - lol. I suspect this is mostly due to the difficulty of estimating charge on LFP battery packs. We've only had the vehicle for about 10 days, so as we use it more, and charge to 100% occasionally, the BMS will probably get...
When the AC is on, the fan is loud outside of the car, but the car is very quiet on the inside. No complaints from us. Overall, the car is super quiet - at least compared to our Tesla Model 3.
@SSteveEV did you ever find a mount for this? If so, did it interfere with any of the sensors? I recently got an R1S Dual Standard, so it doesn't come with the tow hooks, so I am looking for a license plate mount that uses the tow eye.
The Senate already finished the vote-a-rama, and it is now in the hands of the House. If the House adds new amendments, they will have to pass it back to the Senate. There is going to be tons of pressure on the House Dems to pass it as is, I would imagine. I am no political expert, but I am...
Wondering if I should be waiting for an email, or if I should be reaching out to Rivian about this? Don't want to create more noise, since I am sure they are getting hammered with everyone piling in, asking the same questions.
Just FYI - with the 5 seater config, you would have gained an extra 3 inches of vertical space, and about 4.5 cubic feet of space. I also ordered a 5 seater (wonder who the third person is....), but I can live with the change.
I recently noticed a few electric trailers newly on the market, or coming soon. It seems that with the reduced range towing creates, towing a trailer with its own batteries that could supplement the truck's batteries - and also power the trailer while in camp - will be a winning and popular idea...
