I just called 888-RIVIAN1 and the very helpful rep told me that for more information about the extended warranty I should call 888-RIVIAN1.
He eventually added me to a list of people interested but it was still pretty funny!
Others have said it, but I'm going to emphasize: it's all about reproducing the clicking, popping, or groaning while on the test drive with the technician.
If you can reproduce it and say "my loaner didn't do that" you have a chance.
When Rivian replaced my entire front end it felt better...
Thanks for posting about this. I had a wind noise issue and tried calibrating the windows. It worked!
Then after looking through the RiDE menus, I found this issue. Anyone have any clue about it?

I found these ECUs red under the Diagnostics menu of RiDE. Does anyone know what they do? What does red mean? Every other ECU is green.
I have a 2022 R1T LE with about 70k mi.
I haven't noticed any issues otherwise so I'm just curious about why these two are red.
Thanks!
My interpretation of RJ speak is that non-LIDAR R2s and Gen 2 R1 will have hands-off/eyes-off for highways only (which will probably also require mapping - so not all highways).
Therefore LIDAR equipped R2s will get hands-off/eyes off (aka Level 3 autonomy) everywhere.
In four years of ownership, I have thrown my back out twice swapping my all-seasons and my winter tires. 60 lbs of tires and wheels so low is really tough. I just ordered this furniture jack. Thanks!
And don't forget reliability! Double the components means half the reliability.
Also risk of fire goes up. The type of vehicle most likely to go up in flames is the hybrid. And it makes intuitive sense - gasoline for easy ignition right next to lithium ion for a long burn.
Yes, I realize it is a decade+ investment if it is to be profitable. There have been times in the past few years that it seemed like a total loss (ie Rivian was flirting with insovancy or a bargain basement buyout target - which it could still be).
Scout has been in trouble since day 1. Years ago I was looking through their job postings on the software side. Their infrastructure listings were all for Windows, which is a huge red flag. Then they paid billions to Rivian to save them from software hell. But software integrations are their own...
RJ says the benefit is in edge cases, which to me, translates to avoiding collisions (or disengagement events) in cases where vision-only fails. That seems like a clear benefit to the driver of a LIDAR equipped vehicle.
Yes, I noticed that behavior in the Tidal app as well. The artwork is being successfully served by Tidal and downloaded by the Rivian app. But then it goes south.
So the story that it's Tidal's fault is not true. It would be great if Rivian asked the intern to fix this bug.
I think removing the word "launch" from the name is a pretty clear indicator that it's no longer for product launches. I expect to see it a lot more on R2 vehicles.
And now that I think about it, if it's only available on R2 and future models, this isn't necessarily a bad thing for R1 owners...
