In the Tesla with AutoPilot, flipping the right stock up one will cancel AP while leaving on the cruise control speed, which can be cancelled with another bump up. Have you tried that in the R1S? Also, the Tesla will give you about 30 seconds before it alerts you to shake the wheel to continue...
