My R1T is going on a 2000 miles trip and need advise on charging

I will second/third/fourth the comments above...plan your trip now with ABRP and PlugShare and see how easy it is to do without Tesla stations. I just did a Denver->Austin trip and there was one stretch that I desperately needed an adapter and did not have one. I "wasted" a couple of hours...

Do you talk to other Rivian Owners while charging?

As much as possible. I generally talk to any other EV drivers while charging most of which are also very interested in talking Rivian

Quick trip to Escalante UT & L2 charging recommendation

Love the writeup, thanks! The real world range on the dual/max is cool.

Car camping with induction stove and espresso machine is pretty sweet

I just finished a bike trip on the White Rim, cooking for 13 people which generally meant I had a dual burner stove going and then 2-3 kettle's worth of water boiled took 2% per meal. I am guessing I had the dual induction burner running for about an hour.

Interesting interview with Ford CEO about how switch to NACS went down -- worth a listen

This exactly! Tesla has been trying to push NACS for years mostly to get the government funding more easily. No way Farley had to "convince" Elon.

EV Auto manufacturers sharing/selling consumer driving data to insurance cos

I am fairly sure this has more to do with the B.S. insurance industry than Rivian

My experiences with Major issue while traveling

Yep, I get that now, I guess I would have expected them to work without power which could be a problematic expectation. I have had my younger nephews crawling around the tunnel with the doors shut which is a bit scary in hindsight and yes I know all the documentation says not to do that.

My experiences with Major issue while traveling

I am more than a little concerned about the seemingly minor comment that the emergency release buttons in.the tunnel don't work without power

My brand new Rivian seems to be missing something

I have two Rivians, 1 year in, no problems either on the acceptance or after. I guess to be honest, the paint on the edge of the gear tunnel door is chipping earlier than I would have wanted but minor nit.

navigation system the worst there is.

I suspected as much, I just would rather not have to keep one more thing in my head when I hit destination in a navigation app. I know they are trying to make everything easier and push button like but it isn't working (metaphorically) for me.

navigation system the worst there is.

The problem I have with setting a charger destination in the Rivian nav screen is that it automatically does battery preconditioning which reduces range (probably not by much). The navigation still needs some major upgrades before I will use it over google maps+ABRP

Rivian crashes into Hollywood restaurant [update: driven by Ferris Bueller's Day Off star Alan Ruck]

This is why I am trying to form the habit of keeping my foot on the brake at stop lights even though 1 pedal driving suggests I don't need to.

Yes, more specific would be helpful. 1-25 east to Pena and the return. I think the tunnel idea is the correct one, it is a longer stretch of underpass under the old Stapleton runways which is long enough to qualify as a tunnel apparently. Thank you both!

Does anyone have an explanation on why there is a brief gap for Driver+ on I-70 heading to and from the airport? My curiosity is a problem.

Solo R1T camping adventure at White Rim Road | Moab, UT

I agree, awesome! I am headed there in March to do a 3 day bike trip with the R1T as the sag wagon. Sounds like I should not have a problem starting with 100%

7 months later and a 50k repair bill, I have my R1T back!

I am unfortunately in the same position recently with our R1S. It is going to take a month before they can even look at it which brings up my question. How did you negotiate the body shop keeping your vehicle charged while it was in their possesion for X number of months?
