Curious if there are any concerns with tailgate getting dented, or bike frame getting stressed from this setup. I lnow tailgate pads are a common use case for pickups, but several R1T owners report issues with the extra wide tailgate on the rivian causing concerns around denting etc...
This will be my solution... Little to no impact on range (if traveling any distance), and the bike is using the bed. So many other solutions have the bike everywhere, except in the bed, which seems to me a waste.
Curious if you are hearing any wind noise in the cabin at say 70mph? It was a notable issue for a long time. I’m hoping it has been addressed.
what do they tell you at delivery regarding the Tonneau??
...and looking at the Cars&Bid / BaT sites this week... really no premium for R vehicles vs current pricing w taxes, etc.. I really think the price cuts of Tesla took the wind out of the sails of many Ev's - event Rivians that dont directly compete (yet). Example: BMW iX50 with a few...
I would not feel too bad for the dealers - they have been all too happy to gouge customers (at least local where I live) with egregious dealer markup or forced add-ons. I hope I have bought my last vehicle through a dealer. I certainly support a company trying to make money - but a...
Hey RivianDeac - Thanks for the great post. Curious about noise associated with these tires - I have the older Michelin Ice tires and they were very quiet compared to most winter tires. Also, I imagine they give the ride a bit more of a soft feeling..
I have spent countless hours researching the best solution for carrying 1-2 bikes (quick to load / unload) and I think @Law has the best solution on many fronts . PLEASE brother - make a few for us ;->. Everyone goes with the big One Up racks (I have two already from my ICE vehicles - but they...
Curious with the width/thickness of the tailgate - does a tailgate pad work fine for a couple of 29'ers? It almost looks like it would put pressure on the bike frame headtube/downtube joint with the width of the tailgate. BUt I have not seen a tailgate mounted MTB on a R1T in person yet...
"That, combined with the quad-motor's struggles on slippery surfaces, has me looking forward to trading this truck in for a dual motor variant once they become available."
THis was surprising to read - I though one of the major benefits of quad motors is they could work independently and deal...
No worries, Tony from Rivian CS will come along and talk about how he has heard the Rivian community and they plan to improve communication and transparency... and then .... nothing.
" I talked to my guide today and she reports R1S’s with Ocean Coast interior have been coming off the line. Also states that April-June is not accurate delivery window most likely 4-8 weeks. Cautiously optimistic."
This sounds like good news - but after 4 years of waiting, and after my guide...
