But what if you actually like DRIVING? No thanks. Too many unknowns as well. Certainly more costly and I LIKE driving. If course, the majority of my cars are still manuals. So I'm biased.
Yes I see that now. Would say having both the OE 21s and aftermarket light 20s on my R1T that's probably pretty accurate. I do think I get some better numbers w my lighter 20s. But the limitations in 21" tire choices cost me more in the long run. Much prefer 20" wheels that you can wrap in ATs...
I second this. My R1T 21" wheels are stacked on my garage. I like the 20" for both looks and most of all tire choices. The 21" are just too limited and expensive to run. I want the LE but this may be enough for me to delay a bit for the premium for the 20s.
I WOULD like to know the offsets, lug...
Anyone have any idea of lug specs, offsets, or at least wheel and tire sizes offered at launch?
Wondering if R1 sizes will be backwards compatible given I have an on and off road set for my R1. Would like to swap them as needed.
Cheers
I agree with and understand your points. I run some track cars, so rotational mass is a big factor. I am interested in going with some 20" wheels but want to offset some of the additional rotational mass. It looks like most if not all of the 20" tires are in the 54-56# range as opposed to the...
Can anyone give some details on the weight of these Soonish wheels vs the Voktaic Black Rhino wheels vs the OEM 20s?
The Black Rhinos say 24lb Sabi gs for the set over stock. Where do these fall at the advertised 34lb?
Looking to go 20s but want to take the smallest efficiency hot as...
Does anyone have actual weights of the wheel+tire packages or just the 20 vs 21 wheels onky (without tires)?
I'm looking at some of the EV sport line aftermarket ones and they advertise "up to 6 lb lighter than some oem 20s"
I'm trying to make the best move without adding too much weight. For...
Quick post to say I really like this product from Rivian. Custom fit. Looks great. Bikes are secure.
I really don't get the issues people have w the straps. They work great and are simple. My whole family has no issues w them.
For the money, it's a great product and solution. We take far more...
I think I agree. The form and fit just look so much better. I don't trust velcro either and it looses its function over time, especially out in the elements. And the price seems reasonable. I'll probably just use a ratchet strap across the bed rings like suggested above.
If anyone doesn't like...
I have this exact same problem. Installed in July 2022 and lasted 1 year. I have not had the time to completely troubleshoot this yet. But this information and your same experience is helpful.
Please keep us posted w pics and $ outlay. I too have kayaks and the fact I can't move them or pick up lumber at Lowes is the main negative for the R1T for me. My piece of junk 2005 Grand Cherokee did it all better even tho it had no door handles. ?
