I think it's interesting you can't seem to configure with the 20" AT brights anymore, it's dark package or bust. I'm also not a big fan of the combined sound+vision package. I just have premium sound and i'm not a fan of the dynamic glass roof so i'm still glad i had the original. D/M AT with...
My wife and I do have the same phone, but after the most recent update I noticed it wasn't happening or wouldn't change from my profile when we were running errands and getting in and out of the vehicle. But that was only about a day before she took off for travel, so i'll see if it has gotten...
I've also been really late to get updates before. Since they roll them out in batches it's just luck of the draw. I've been one of the first and one of the last, usually I'm pretty squarely in the middle. If you have something like RivianRoamer you can see the waves and how many it's released...
Thanks for the video, i always love the RivianTracker videos. Overall this pretty well aligns with what i have noticed as well. Turn arrows are still a struggle, no yellow, a bit of lag, lane change didn't always work as i noticed on more narrow or somewhat curved roads. But I really liked how...
Interesting, the green and red stoplights have worked accurately for me, where it gets lost is in yellow, it will oscillate between choosing green and red. I assume it can't quite pick up yellow yet. For sure have some work to do with the latency and accuracy prior to P to P.
Yes i'm in the same boat as you. I'm the primary driver, even shared the digital key with my wife, her phone was set up second originally, but it always defaults to her. always, so i always have to switch it to my profile when getting in when i'm with her.
Yes a true sweet spot for me anyway would be to only charge at overnight, so maybe 600 mile range would be awesome.
Initially when I placed my order for the Max pack it was when we lived in San Diego and I wanted to make it to Phoenix without having to stop to charge.
100% agree on filling up overnight in the garage. It's amazing. We've done the overnight trips where we get up to the smoky mountains and just charge up there once we're at the destination. We'll have to take it up further is my next step. Hah.
For me the ideal sweet spot would be 500 miles of...
Honestly i've never looked at range when buying an ICE car, i figure you can spit to a gas station just about anywhere so it doesn't matter. When looking at the Riv over 6 years ago, charging stations were obviously fewer between, so i felt i wanted the max range possible to give me the most...
I agree with this. I miss Amazon music from this perspective. Could play whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. When I switched to Rivian assistant i lost this. Then tried going back to the FM radio and that didn't work. Luckily I found that out while still in warranty at least. Hah. I've given...
Honestly i've been starting to grow more and more concerned about this as well. Granted i'm halfway through comprehensive warranty, as i'm at 25k miles and 2 years on my Gen2 R1S. Service visits have been less and less over time, and i haven't had out of pocket costs yet, but it does have me...
Bummer Donald! I brought my R1S back up to Franklin last week as strangely enough the radio wasn't working. (never really used it but have before) I've been trying to use it again with Alexa disabled i can't just play my Amazon Music. Having known better from before, i figured i'd bring it up...
I'm in the same as you, going to and from the pool we frequently have sunscreen applied when we get in the vehicle. This morning I'm going through with the vegan leather cleaner. haha
I also wish it could select a station through Sirius XM. Right now, as i don't have apple music, all it can do really is turn on and off the radio or toggle to XM, it can't select music genre or stations. Maybe this will come later.
I did like this in a Chevy EV rental I had once. On the bottom it showed real time power use. So you could tell how much juice you were pushing accelerating hard (or regeneration ) or even how much the HVAC was consuming sitting at a stop light. I found it entertaining to watch and experimenting...
Oh that's a great idea, I had an echo auto in an older car too some years ago. Thanks for this recommendation! That will probably actually play the playlists we have too as the Rivian Alexa interface does not recognize. Awesome thanks.
Bummer. It would be amazing to get a native Amazon music app someday. I may actually keep using Alexa for the foreseeable future since we really only use Amazon Music in the car.
@RivianTrackr quick question if you don't mind. Can I use the Voice assistant to still play music from Amazon Music? That's like the only thing I use Alexa for now. Hah. Much appreciated.
Yeah I get it, and it's taken me some time to get there. I've noticed incremental braking and speed control improvements so I do tend to trust it more and more. There are some situations especially locally where I'm winding down a narrow lane mountain road where I hover my hand around the wheel...
