Sure you invalidated it. For whatever reason, you were the one who asked me to provide examples, so I did. The response was (with input from others as well) that it wasn't the same thing and not comparable. Guess what? They are directly competitive. Rivian's focus is a fully-functional SUVs and...
What me laugh at all of this is how you find the need to defend it. I've offered my opinion that differs from yours and that's it - but go ahead and keep quantifying it in different ways to invalidate my opinion not because there's value but because you need to be right.
I'm done.
Fine. Let's look at competitors that actually have comparable models: Ford Bronco, Chevy Equinox, Jeep Wrangler - they all have more vibrant color palettes. Shy of the purple, Rivian's offerings are muted.
Let's see: your choices are: 5-6 shades of greyscale, greens, maybe blue, purple. No red, no yellow - the colors that Rivian launched with. Get rid of at least a couple of the grey colors - it's unnecessary to have that and put in something else.
I'm with you in terms of getting something more interesting - there's a number of "colors" that are variations of grey - get rid of a couple of them and add in yellow, red or maybe even something retro like copper.
Just to note, Rivian has both an R1T and R1S on display in the North Building of the Convention Centre. It's on the lower level. They are open to the public to look over and sit in.
One thing to note: is headroom limited when getting into the rear seats? I seemed to have some trouble knocking...
This must be restricted for the moment for reservation holders. I tried to see if I could book a test drive, but it's not showing the Vaughan location.
I would like to understand why it's changed. When I did my configuration, I had the 22s with the underbody shield. I went and looked at a new, different configuration and saw what you're saying is true. Of course, when I did the order it was also possible to get the MaxPack with the Quad motors...
Well, after much contemplation and yet another delivery delay until mid-2024, I've elected to pull the plug. As much as I think it's a good vehicle, there are things that the R1T needs to get fixed:
NACS is a big one for me
MaxPack removal from the QUAD is another
The extended gear they've...
Well, at this point I'm fine with the delays for my own delivery as I'm hoping they'll include the NACS and fix the auto tonneau. Heck, maybe they'll even get back on track with the accessories too.
Looking at the press release, it's likely that in 2024 Rivian will be able to use an adapter on...
I thought Rivian had stated they were focusing on the R1S as opposed to the R1T. I wonder how that factors into everybody's delays who were expecting deliveries from Ontario? Does anyone with an R1S order have their delivery delayed as of yet? I'm sure we'll be hearing about a delay in the...
Well, I'm glad to see others getting some improvements in the order timeframes. Me, on the other hand, just went from Oct-Dec 23 to Apr-Jun 24 - another 6 month delay.
At this point they need to change the plug to Tesla in order for me to take it. I'm not against Rivian, but seeing the added...
2024 or 2025 ideally for a majority of what I'm concerned about, but I don't think I'll have a choice in it since I've essentially got the locked-in lower price - can't have my cake and eat it too. Certainly a fair bit to mull over but to me the 2 biggest would be the heat pump and inclusion of...
As much as I like Rivian's product line, I have to say I'm having second thoughts on a purchase at this point. From the time I placed an order, I've been watching Rivian progress in some ways but stagnate or fall behind in others. It's nice to see production ramp up however I see issues: items...
