I thought about this, but felt that the forged wheels were worth it as I haven't been able to find a set of forged wheels for cheaper than $1,800, but I may be looking in the wrong place.

@JerseyGreens do you think there will be an option to push out an R1S order until a max pack option is available? I am considering switching to R1T with max pack since it does not seem like one will be available for the R1S anytime soon.

I think it should be. If you're lucky, you may even get one with the new 4680 battery. They also should have the AMD processor and double pane rear windows to help with cabin noise.

I agree. I test drove a MY last month and although I enjoyed the test drive, I was surprised at the poor build quality of the showroom vehicles. I ended not placing an order because I didn't want to risk buying something that may have poor build quality and having to deal with the Tesla customer...

@EVnewb and @LeoH thanks for the explanations! I don't fully understand how heat pumps work and thought having one would be a good thing to extend range in colder climates.

Do you mean before? Having previously lived in Chicago for over a decade, reliable heating is definitely a necessity.

Thanks for sharing your perspective! The lack of a max pack for R1S makes the R1T a lot more appealing. I wish I would have been able to attend the Denver event today. It would have been awesome to see the trucks in person.

Are you planning to get both? I like the truck better as well, but the R1S is more family friendly. The third row would come in handy when family is in town.
