  1. Guide: R1S / R1T Wind Noise FIX!

So, quick question, do any builds NOT have the wind noise issue? I have a September 23 R1S, and set out to do the painter tape trick and I noticed no difference in wind noise at various highway speeds. dbs mph 63 90 60 80 58 70 55 60 My painter tape setup. Made several...
  2. Duncan South Carolina SC

Right on! I'm in Clemson, and I've made that 2 hour drive a few times. This is awesome!
  3. Hauling sheet goods / long lumber in R1S

Length, measured 87" from passenger seat to tailgate. Width, measured 42.5" at narrowest (between third row armrest), resting above armrests measured 50.5" width.
  4. Ouch! Rear hatch catching on roof.

ATL service center called and pulled my service forward to next week! I'll take some before and after photos. Thanks everyone for replying.
  5. Ouch! Rear hatch catching on roof.

Anyone else seen or had this issue? My rear hatch is catching the roof. Looking from the back I can tell the roof rear plastic has been bowed in. I'd love to use my rear hatch, but scared to! Booked a service appointment, but of course it is months out. Anyone have...
  6. Gen 1 major ride quality & handling improvement after 2024.19.04 software update - how's your experience?

Have completed a few days on the latest update. Have done long hauls on the the highway and some modest off roading. Verdict? Yes, it's much better. So much so, that "suspension" has slipped from number one complaint into number three. It's now time to look into noise isolation, and the audio...
  7. Radar Detector hardwire, who has done it?

I tried quite a few solutions and oddly the simplest is my fav. Uniden R8. Hardwired with a mirror tap kit. Mounted with a generic modified eBay bracket. Affixed to rearview with 3M adhesive. Bend leaves just enough room to access top mounted buttons. Surprised I liked this one the most...
  8. 20" Nitto Recon Grappler AT tires 25% more efficient than Pirelli OEM AT! The holy grail!

That's me. I am running with Nitto Recon Grappler XL in 275/60/20. They are ATs. So, they certainly won't be as efficient HTS60. Will report back with some stats at 1K miles. Give me two weeks? But, preemptively, not as efficient as the 21" Pirelli AS (expected) ... not sure where they...
  9. 20" Nitto Recon Grappler AT tires 25% more efficient than Pirelli OEM AT! The holy grail!

The XLs, yes. SLs, not so much. Yeap, XL is 33", costs a good $250 less per set, and shaves a pound per tire. Got mine from tire rack, here. No idea if they will have the same efficiency as OP? Put 600 miles on them so far. Will report back at 1K miles.
  10. 20" Nitto Recon Grappler AT tires 25% more efficient than Pirelli OEM AT! The holy grail!

Swapped stock Pirelli A/S for 33" Recon XLs a week ago. They are a pound lighter than the SL Recon. Had 10K on the Pirelli. No volt-sipping for me, I do mostly 80+ highway commuting at high speed in AP mode and Standard height. So, I run them. Will report on effeciency after I get 1K miles...
  11. Installed R1S RMaxx running boards at EV Sportline in Atlanta

Ya, got all the work done on Easter so had some surprise visits. Also, first time seeing the CT in person! It is um ... certainly something to behold ... and the metallic red wrap helps, but would never trade my R1S in for one. So happy with my choice!
  12. Installed R1S RMaxx running boards at EV Sportline in Atlanta

@Polar - Good eye. Yeap, that's the LinerX, but cut in half. Other half is in the frunk, for a bit of coverage. What do you want for the crossbars shipped to South Carolina? PM me. I went with some Nitto Recon Grappler XL in 275/60/20 = https://www.tirerack.com/tires/nitto-recon-grappler-a-t...
