Same. I don't need the size of my R1T Quad, but from what I've seen so far, I don't think I want to give up independent rear motors/torque vectoring. Thinking I'll hold in hopes for a Tri-Motor R2 w/air suspension or similar spec R3X at some point.
Agreed. I've been lucky so far, but am not a fan of how they've been handling service (I've tried 3x to get a seat cushion replaced and they can't seem to get the right part), orders/delivery, FSD transfer (or lackthereof) for owners, etc., etc.
I'll miss the supercharger network, but...
Push back on this for sure. I've got a M3P with an aftermarket 2" lift, skid plate, camber and toe arms and my closest service center knows about the mods and that I drive rough mountain roads daily just going to and from home. It's always covered in dirt/dried mud when it's in for any service...
Fwiw, my gen 2 Tesla wall charger can handle up to 100amps. We had an early model S with dual 40amp charging built in, so it could hit 80. I think early X's had the same. Now all Tesla's are 48amp max. The additional amperage is also used if you daisy chain Tesla wall chargers to charge multiple...
As noted above, they don't work for superchargers, just with Tesla's destination chargers. There are a number of hotels I've stayed at that have Tesla destination chargers, so charging overnight when at hotels with them is one use case. I have a Tesla home charger, so getting the adapter allows...
Some good points, some bad. Imo is this channel is more about theatrics than accuracy. I'm a TSLA fan, but they are way too fanboi for my tastes. Really makes Out of Spec stand out in being even-handed across manufacturer's and vehicles.
I've had PPF removed from two cars. One after four years, one after three. For both, it removed without any damage and the paint underneath looked nearly new. There is some form of adhesive used and my guess is not all shops use the same as the four year car I was able to remove and clean...
Looks great! Thanks for taking the mystery out of stealth on el cap (I am planning the same). I'm guessing they removed the badges, put new adhesive on them and put back. Did the note any trouble spots or challenges full wrapping the R1T?
Edit: from first pic looks like maybe the cut around the...
I'm only considering the R1T and CT. The Ford and Chevy offerings don't meet my requirements. Ymmv. Lucid does have great tech, but they don't make a truck, so....
I see positives being their history of continual sw updates improving vehicles, best battery tech and proven longevity, likely better efficiency, rumored 4wheel steering, more service locations, profitable/stable manufacturer.
That being said, the R1T is a much better fit for my needs and...
Same. It's also great protection from rock chips. Here in the mtn's, daily drivers take a beating, pinstriping, rock chips, "sand-blasting" of rocker panels and lower areas from rock, dirt, grit. Hell, a bear scratched my model 3 performance driver's side poking around and the damage was...
Thanks for posting. My large 29er with 160/160 travel will likely extend a bit further. Road bikes should be good.
Is the Gear Guard cable still usable to "secure" bikes on the rack?
Surprised to see it even with the M3P to 60 and pull from there, and on 20" AT's! I'll be trading in my M3P for the R1T and really didn't want to give up the acceleration. So nice to have for short passing lanes in the canyons, etc.
