    I have had mixed results with the Diode Dynamics SS3 Sports. I had emailed with Diode Dynamics before purchasing about this and they told me the SS3 Sports "should" run warm enough to prevent snow build up... I may upgrade to their Max version which draws ~35 watts max vs ~15 watts of the sport...

    If you want to use the SS3s with the back light option you will need to use 2 of the 4 channels of the Trigger 4Plus. SS3s come with a connector pigtail.     the remote switch for the Trigger 4Plus is the one thing that could be better.. On mine the switches dont toggle well and take a bit of force... I plan to take mine apart see what options there are to repackage with different switches and housing....

    yes, used nichrome wire. Laminated a pattern between two pieces of clear adhesive backed mylar. without some heat and vacuum I had air gaps around the wire.
