Got a text from PDX service center today. They said it will be available for pickup week Of 8/27, so looks like 4 weeks from selecting in the shop. It’s so hard to wait these final few weeks even though it’s been almost 2 years!

Just heard it’s leaving Normal and it’s going to be 4-6 weeks… looks like we’re in the same boat!

I selected a limestone/BM/AT dark on Friday 7/28. Vin is 16,7xx. Still going through 8 steps, done have a pickup date yet.

Have an R1S on order and got shop access about a week ago. I can confirm that you can filter between R1S and R1T or just see all of them. I’m in the PNW and I’ve seen about 100 R1Ts constantly and about 10 R1Ss drop every day and are fine by the end of the day.

I have an Ioniq 5 that does the same thing with the door handles. I like the visual reminder as others have said but if I were ever to leave it unlocked in a public space it would be obvious that it could be easily gotten into.

Yeah would love to know how it does on sand… we have a place on the Oregon coast but I’m worried to take it over a dune due to the weight of the truck

Agree- no test drives that I know of and no in depth walk around videos… would love to see a first drive press event like they did in the mountains with R1T
