Their compatibility check isn't very accurate. You can choose to omit providing any vehicle information, and they'll still ship it to you. I'm sure any shop (big or small) will install them as long as they fit and meet the minimum load index requirements.
The minimum 116 load index for passenger tires is determined by taking the rating of the greater of the two axles (the rear) and adding a 10% buffer, as per federal regulations. In the R1's case, the rear GAWR is 4,960 lbs, so (4,960+10%)/2 = 2,728 lbs.
A 115 load index (2,679 lbs) does not...
You're quoting Google, which quotes burtbrothers.com, which is just repeating the same myth. And again, just conjecture with no evidence to back that up. Anyway, the video explains why that's wrong, with an actual test.
This is actually a myth, and reality is a lot more nuanced. See for an actual test.
A lot of the things that you've been posting (e.g. regarding weight) is misleading or outright false. It'd be good if you shared actual test data rather than just posting anectdotes and conjecture.
That's just a dump of the spreadsheet posted here: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/list-of-compatible-tires-for-each-rivian-factory-wheel-diameter.19563/
Same for me for the linked tire. I even went through their Treadwell wizard. I can, however, see it for a very small number of OEM...
Because Pirelli offers two products in that family and size:

I agree with you in that the numbers do seem off, particularly the max air pressure of 44 PSI—isn't the recommended tire pressure 48 PSI?
To keep things simple, however, I'll keep this in sync with what Discount Tire says.
Weight and, more importantly, rolling resistance. The latter is...
I updated the sheet today:
New tires, such as the Michelin Defender LTX Platinum, are now included.
Tires that Discount Tire were previously showing as incompatible, such as the Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3, are now included.
Tread depth (and actual diameter) is now included.
Weight is now included.
I didn't include weight for several reasons:
Weight isn't included in the search results page, so to retrieve that, the script would have to look at every tire's product page, which would greatly increase the number of requests,
The weight of a given tire as reported by Discount Tire, Tire...
Their website doesn't show it as compatible. I'm not sure why, since it's in the OE size and exceeds the OE load index. You may want to check with them. If they fix it on their end, I can then regenerate the sheet. It does show as unavailable/out of stock for me though.
As mentioned in the original post, this list simply contains all the tires sold, and deemed compatible, by Discount Tire. If you know of a tire that is not in the list, it is likely because it isn't sold by Discount Tire!

@nukem384 Thanks for sharing your experience and what seems to be the first customer installation video/review.
@twraps Do you alternate between the three films or do you use a different one for each color?
Has anybody had first-hand experience with both TWRAPS's Chrome Delete and EV Sportline's Chrome Delete? I'm interested, but do not know which one to get.
They're similarly priced, have the same colors, and are both digitally cut and made in the US. TWRAPS uses 3M 1080/2080 or Avery Dennison...
