It's still gaming the system, Rivian could've used a more realistic test. The blame is on the EPA, it always has been it's just more pronounced with EVs. Rivian Promises 300+ mile at launch, for cost reasons they couldn't add more battery capacity so they used the test that so they could hit...
Efficiency has been beaten to death. @Rivian gaming the EPA rating has been a huge disservice for an otherwise great vehicle. That being said, I'm getting 2.1-2.3 in my R1S Dual for summer highway efficiency, You would think the R2 smaller size, weight and aero would've give it a decent...
point of reference... My 2+ years, 25k miles R1S ocean coast which is I believe is whiter the steering wheel and seat material still look great and clean easy.
Assuming they home charge, If you can't charge at home - you should not buy an EV. But also States, like mine (NH), that have high electrical rates kill much of that fuel saving cost
This has been my stance for the last 6 years of driving an EV.
The Issue shouldn't be range, it should be efficiency, If MPG was off by as much as Mile/Kw people would also be in an uproar. The end user pays more money per mile in that case.
Yeah, I viewed that for users who do higher miles, they get a year less as they are likely to hit the milage whereas those who travel less gets the longer term for $375 . There is also a 10yr /125k miles for $7300

What did you expect? Rivian and Tesla have been pretty open about owning you in their ecosystem. Yes, the Rivian UI doesn't have the features you get with Android Auto/Carplay. If that's important, you are looking at the wrong car ,
I hope Telo makes it. It looks like a car that would work best in the European market , and I think it's slightly over priced for what it is. Had it been $35K (RWD LR) and $40K (AWD LR) i think that that'll be more fitting
Everything is compared to the leader in it's category.
Legacy automakers especially Subaru / Toyota, don't deserve the attention. Of the Legacy brands Mach-E and Ioniq are the only ones that are viable options.
They reached out to me to be honest, not sure how or why. They booked me an my friend who has a reservation also. But I looked earlier today, there was an opening for 9am this Saturday. Keep checking the site.
Leasing is renting your lifestyle, turning my driveway into an expensive subscription service makes zero sense.
Now on the buying side, I can't justify giving up my Gen 1 2024 R1S for an R2.
