  1. Michelin Defender LTX Platinum

I have a 1000 mile trip coming up so I'll see how it goes after the road force balance.. not really sure what to do if it still shakes after that :/
  2. Steering Wheel Shake at Highway Speeds

Weird, the 2 guys that posted right after me in the LTX Defender Platinum thread said no shakes.. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/michelin-defender-ltx-platinum.20822/page-5#post-581861
  3. Steering Wheel Shake at Highway Speeds

Rivian just got done with my car and they couldn't figure out why it shakes above 65 mph. They originally blamed it on America's tire for not doing the tire balance (weights weren't added properly within Rivian spec) and they still were noticing the shake. She recommended new tires (just got...
  4. Michelin Defender LTX Platinum

Anyone getting steering wheel shake with these tires? I just swapped 21" to 20s I bought off of a Rivian employee and installed Michel LTX Defender Platinums on them. The steering wheel would shake violently above 65 mph so I took it in to Rivian and they are saying it's the weighting and tires...
  5. New 21" tire option - Michelin Defender LTX M/S 2 275/55-21 @ $380

Anyone have an update on anything yet? I called our local shop and they said they can't even order them yet even though it's on their website Wouldn't these work...
  6. 2023.26.0 Software Update Pushed

Still no improvements to proximity unlock? Sigh...
  7. 20's AT tires for sale at the price of 21's

I'm in Sacramento as well and would love to swap my 21" for your 20" as well as pay up extra for the mileage differential. Mine have 7500 miles on them. I immediately took off the caps and have cleaned them multiple times (hand washed) - please reach out if you are interested / changed your mind.
  8. Observations after 3000 mile road trip over 14 days in my R1T

Another 2~ weeks according to one of the construction managers I spoke to while there. They are also contracted to build the Chargepoint chargers, 1 of which was online there for emergency use - which definitely came in handy for us and a stranded Bolt. It's the only DCFC in the town outside of...
  9. Comparison images: Rivian Drive Cam vs. Aftermarket Dash Cam (+ video samples added)

Definitely disappointing since they've been hyping up gear guard/dashcam features for a while now. What's the point of a dash cam if you can't read license plates?
  10. Compact Spare

Was able to call our local service and add on a spare without lug wrench, pucks, and jack. Here's the break-down on cost: Concern: - Customer requests to purchase compact spare tire. Cause: - part needed to complete retrofit, need the rear cargo liner with the spare tire option, it has a cut...
  11. First Tesla Supercharger with "Magic Dock" CCS adapter successfully charged a R1T. This is fantastic!

I still don't understand how we are supposed to plug these in. The only way seems to be by blocking the charger next to you and parking in the wrong stall? I mean, that's exactly what I am going to do if they give us no choice but I am gonna not love explaining that to Tesla owners pulling up to...
  12. R1S Routine Maintenance

Check tread wear and then make a decision, there is no golden ticket answer on rotation.
  13. Powered tonneau replacement prediction (it’s not positive)

Never trust a single thing any tech, service advisor, or sales person says.
  14. How long can we delay the purchase

I forfeited my VIN and got access back to the shop. I keep responding with "waiting for powered tonneau." It's been 6 weeks now and no issues.. I don't see why it would be a problem?
  15. A little surprised with all the Shop inventory...

I bet they have a large chunk of people waiting for the powered tonneau cover. Someone should run a poll here on that
  16. Anyone remove A Pillar to install dashcam wiring yet?

I routed through the a pillar and 12v plug for a Blackvue 2ch and had double wire on the a pillar. The only thing I couldn't figure out perfectly was the double wire on the a pillar and hiding the larger power cord against the windshield glass side, it is sligthly exposed. I suppose I need to...
  17. Large pack - Enough range to complete the White Rim Road?

Man I wish I could rent AT, this looks like an epic adventure
  18. Are these panel gaps acceptable?

The problem isn't the few quality issues, the problem is Rivian knowingly bringing these to delivery centers and delivery people allowing these to be delivered to customers.
  19. Clunking noise?

My service tech was saying this is a common issue most likely due to a missing axel bolt in the 21" tires
