  1. 20" Inch New tire coming - BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A+.

The T/A+ are not yet available, I might have to settle for the current model now that the Pirellis are literally falling apart.
  2. Spotted: Irvine, CA RAN chargers going up at Tustin Marketplace

    Related to this perhaps? https://caruso.com/newsroom/press-releases/2026/rivian-and-caruso-announce-expanded-partnership/
  3. 20" Inch New tire coming - BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain T/A+.

Note the + They were listed as $237 a tire for 275/60/20 at Americas Tire last week, now listed as $280 and coming in June. https://www.americastire.com/buy-tires/bfgoodrich-trail-terrain-t-a+ My OE scorpions are dying a noisy death, but I will be holding out for these after originally...
  4. Questions about Hotspot -- What band? Possible to force 2.4 ghZ?

Just ran into this trying to get my kid's Yoto music player to connect. Surprising given kids devices in the back seat are often hand-me-down older tech.
  5. Amazon Music Glitching

I have been getting the glitching Amazon music, but it seems like only since the last update. I’ll have to try other sources. I hadn’t tried troubleshooting it, but I assumed it was either network issue or something had changed with the stream buffering in the last update.
  6. Slower charging with “Rivian Portable Charger” since update.

Since the 2025.18.01 update I have noticed that while charging at home using the EVSE that comes with the vehicle it shows as charging lower/slower. I used to see 7.6kW in the app, the max listed in the specs. After the update I was seeing 7kW, and after power cycling the unit getting 7.3kW...
  7. Trip Log: LA to Vegas in the Rivian R1S Gen 2 (Real-World Range + Efficiency Data)

Interesting that the RAN price came back down. My last trip back from Vegas I used the Tesla SC as it was a fair bit cheaper and that little bit easier to get to in that side of the freeway. But i’d rather use RAN.
  8. Overheat Protection Needed

Got the 140 degree temp warning on the app yesterday while the wife has the R1S in Palm Springs (104 yesterday). It ran the fans but only said it got it down to 133. Requested she park in the shade whenever possible (good practice anyway).
  9. Checked out the new Ionna Chargery in Houston

Rivian is only showing certain charging networks. I assume they have a process (and criteria) for providers to request to be listed.
  10. Rivian just raised RAN pricing 47% over President’s Day weekend 2025

On my last Vegas drive I actually used the Supercharger network for the first time ever on the way back, despite a RAN being across the street. It was enough of a price difference to make me switch. If Rivian had similar pricing I would have used the RAN, it was that simple for me.
  11. Anyway to disable Youtube?

Haha, I have to say my kids are suddenly much more interested in staying in the car these days for this reason! It’s either that or they try to get on the Rivian wifi from the house as it doesn't have any content blocking.
  12. Wow! 11 more RAN stations added to RAN map - 17 in total!

46 driven miles according to the Rivian app (San Bernardino), but yes nothing much near the coast.
  13. 0-60 Dual Performance (Gen 1) - All-purpose vs Sport Mode.

It’s my understanding that in Quads the top performance is only achieved with a higher state of charge than you had. I assume the same applies for the Dual. I seem to remember it being mentioned in an OutOfSpec video (of which there are many!) edit: looks like some in this thread have already...
  14. Rear License Plate Holder?

A license plate frame is “essential” ?! Somehow all my cars have survived without one. Reminds me of when I went to an independent LR shop with my LR3 and they decided to put a frame on for me without asking to advertise their shop. That was the end of using them!
