  2. Deer hit the front end... repair cost?

This happened recently to a friend of mine. Similar level of damage from the deer strike. The repair estimate was $45k and his insurance company nearly wrote the truck off as total loss. The worst part is the repair took >6 months. In the end, my friend wishes he'd just taken the insurance...

wonder if this is an issue from a recent OTA update? I've owned my truck for nearly a year with 11k miles and this problem only started in the last few weeks.
  6. Charge port door not opening

It's not just you... happened several times to me as well. customer support asked for a video demonstrating the behavior, not sure they believed me. suggested i reboot the truck. i've been suspicious it's environmental as well, because i'm in a climate which has average annual snowfall of...
  7. Addictive smelling wiper fluid mystery SOLVED! = Genuine Chemistry All Season Windshield Washer Fluid

I would also hazard a guess it's why the inside of my windows always give the appearance that I'm a heavy smoker. I have never owned a car which required so much glass maintenance. If I can smell the fluid, it's certainly traveling far enough into the air vents to leave a film on the glass...

  10. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

  11. 39.1 OTA bugs (compressor, audio controls, etc.)

Curious about your wheel alignment issue. Are you having the issue where Driver+ sporadically won't engage and the driver display shows "wheel alignment needed, please service vehicle" msg? I noticed this problem surfaced coinciding with an OTA a couple of revs back. I spoke with Service who...

  15. Towing 7000 lbs 27' Trailer, ~ 130miles 3500ft Elevation Change

Awesome, thanks for posting. Will be curious to hear how the charging stops go. My big fear of hauling the trailer is having to unhook every time I need a charge because getting in/out of the stalls can be challenging depending on the location.
  16. 4 Day Yosemite Trip in R1T

Completely agree. I've owned a Model X since 2018 and it's been jarring to attempt a longer trip in the R1T across state lines and having to rely primarily on EA for supercharging. At least Tesla seems to keep their superchargers functioning.
