Im sure I’m not the only one but I’m significantly bummed about the lack of automation for us gen 1 owners going forward. I love my Rivian but I really feel they significantly over promised on the ability to grow the automated driving over time with OTAs. I feel like we hit the ceiling way too...
UPDATE: Hey all… once I got over the “First World Problem” weirdness of calling Rivian support over a Halloween costume, I did reach out to them this morning. They are aware of the widespread issue and are hoping for an update to get pushed out to us possibly as soon as later today. Fingers crossed.
I have a gen 1, quad motor R1S. Early edition VIN#15XXX. I find it a bit odd that Rivian was advertising tank turns as a cool feature long before I received mine and frankly, before you even saw Rivians on the road. Those were gen Bosch motors in those videos so… 🤷🏻‍♂️
Maybe it’s just me but this seems like an inelegant option when phones and tablets exist. I don’t want to have to adjust my listening while driving to prioritize back passenger’s entertainment on a tiny screen.
Trying to understand this. I have a lot of Apple products and have for many years. Never have I felt controlled by any of them. If Rivian added CarPlay for example, it’s just another option. If you don’t like it, you could always choose to use the regular Rivian UI. I just don’t get the extreme...
Just wanted to acknowledge the guys at the Tualatin Service Center. James, Steve and team were awesome with my service repair for my R1S that I had scheduled last Thursday. I was in a time crunch to get to another appointment post-drop off and James got me in and out of there with an R1T loaner...
That is my hope as well and probably my primary motivation for posting in the first place. Those Guides that are such great representatives for the company should be acknowledged. ?
I'm just so impressed with my Pacific NW Region Rivian Guide that I wanted to give a big public thanks to Alex T! She has been amazing since we were initially connected pre-delivery and every bit as attentive whenever I've needed her guidance since.
I'm sure that the Guides are swamped with...
I’m a Feb 2021 reservation and have an updated delivery window of August-September. I’ve read on forums and other social media about many people getting their R1Ss on the early side of the window. Thought I’d throw it out there to local Portland R1S reservation holders to see how their...
Same boat here. Feb 21 pre-order for R1S, Forest Green w/ OC. Portland, OR. Within 10 miles of service center. Still waiting on a guide and/ Shop invite. ??‍♂️
Just hoping that my July-Sept estimate holds.
Agreed. It’s so ubiquitous on even the cheapest of autos these days It’s kind of inexcusable not to have some decent way to send and receive texts.
I’m a Feb 2021 reservation. R1S, Forest Green and Ocean Coast. Just bumped from 1st half of 2023 to July-Sept 2023. Really bummed.
Sure hope there isn’t a trend of post-March 2022 orders being delivered sooner.
Someone posted a picture of the temporary Service Center on St. Helens road from a week or so ago and there were at least a couple in the lot. Mixed with more R1Ts.
Just a PSA for any other Portland people who have changing their configs regularly like I have (in part) because they haven’t been able to see the R1s close up…
I have dropped by the Saint Helens Rd location a couple times and, to a person, every employee that I have talked with has been super...
