Mobile Service was able to resolve the creaking issue! What a relief. I'm not a mechanic, but it sounded like the remedy was as simple as removing the front tires to do a little cleaning and re-greasing of the axles, and then re-torquing of some nuts/bolts. Let's hope that noise doesn't come...
