Yes a 2023 dual motor. Oh I know why, but I’m over it. It’s ridiculous and prematurely wearing my tires out which costs me a lot more than a little range. Surely a vehicle this smart has a way to save a preset…. This is insanity.

Is there any way to save overrides to drive mode? I have to turn “auto” off every single time I shift out of park. It’s extremely frustrating.

Did the update just last night before going to bed and all day today have had the issue so the update is the only change I can think of.

When did you file? I took delivery of my 2023 R1S November 10, 2023 and mailed my tax amendment in because TurboTax said I couldn't efile it. Sent it certified mail. I know they got it well before Thanksgiving but IRS says they got it Dec 4, 2023. They still haven't processed it. Every time...

Safelite ordered glass for me, gave me an appointment. After 3 weeks, I got a text 15 mins before the appointment, when I was already on my way, that it was cancelled. I called thinking the glass came in damaged and nope, they said they plain and simple cannot and will not work on a Rivian.

Funny you mention this. I've been driving the same roads for 15+ years and the only glass/windshield issues I've ever had was a year ago on my Volvo XC90 and now on the Rivian R1S exactly a year later.

Completely judgemental and inaccurate. I was the only car at the beginning of the on ramp when I was hit by a pebble. No one else in the SUV even heard it. The little starburst it made turned into half my windshield being cracked...

Seems to be the huge down fall of this vehicle so far.... loving everything else.

is there really nothing in the Rivian app versus 3rd party? Even our Toyota has that capability and it’s not nearly as much of a computer as the Rivian. Example in pic.

I agree with you 100% but that's actually with the insurance company forcing them to lower the price. It started out even higher!!! The shop also wanted a deposit from me and I had to argue with them that I wasn't giving a $500 deposit on work they had in writing as approved to be 100% paid...

You're entitled to your opinion but mine is that I shouldn't have to choose between risking other issues or driving around with a resin filled starburst. What I got hit with, should not have caused this.
