Described it well, that's what it's taking for me, hoping it'll work for the next 2 weeks.
Port Cover calibration in RIDE didn't do jack, nor hard resets, ECU reloads.
However I doubt it's coincidental it happened right after the recent software update.
70k miles/2 Rivians this is the first...
Appreciate this. Same issue, just started today. So I'm just going to wiggle it open/closed until mobile can fix (now that I know it's mobile repairable).
Thx. Apparently it's been a known issue, but didn't come up during pre-purchase research or even at trade-in.
Guarantee someone will wreck their gen2 unless this is addressed more thoroughly. They sold me the mats with 2022 LE purchase.. a little disclosure at trade-in would've been nice.🤦...
This has happened to me twice this week.
Using my Gen1 OEM Rubber floor mat in my Gen2. I don't recall the bump in the floor board in the Gen1, but there definitely is a raised area in my Gen2. Or maybe the pedal is different like mentioned previously?
Same situation, floored pedal stuck...
I think it helped a lot, but also kept a sunshade up full time.
Removed because I'm moving to gen2.
Also took off the clear PPF on the hood (partial) because there was a section I couldn't heal... Looks brand new, no fade after 3 years. Definitely putting on my next R1t.
I had a cheap tinted PPF on my sunroof for 3 years. Took maybe an hour to install, wasn't hard even though it was my first attempt.
Just removed it last week, no issues. Cost about $50. Got the idea from someone else in this forum.
@Dark-Fx How would you say the PSS5 tread wear compares to the stock Pirelli Scorpions? I burned through three sets before finally switching to Michelin Defenders
Not a bad idea. Still a bit concerned it occurred within seconds of plugging in to the DCFC. So its unclear if this was a 12v issue vs sensor vs other.
After 3 hard resets and a 7hr sleep, no alerts since (2 days). I've also used the same RAN yesterday albeit different charger without...
Security guard/Mallcop insisted I leave the RAN chargers at 930pm since the outlet mall had just closed. No signs anywhere. Reported it twice, so hopefully that's resolved. Otherwise pretty stupid to have your only RAN in FL open 10hrs/day.
Appreciate your responses. Visual and voltage inspection of the 2 12v seem OK. Also found the reddit post, doesn't seem similar (yet). Maybe a remote diagnostic will indicate what the issue is.
Will update once I get more info. If you hear about a RivFire in FL, it was nice knowing ya.
VIN 1700's, 37k miles.
No issues/alerts this AM driving. Maybe a longer sleep was needed, or cooler temps.
Likely the alert will reappear, so took the opportunity to clean out the truck in case a tow (or worse) is needed.
I'm guessing the DCFC fried something. Hit 200kw pretty fast. Never had...
Has anyone had the "Exit truck and stay away for your safety" alert?
Plugged into a Rivian DCFC today, within 30 seconds got the alert. Came in with 50%SOC, 15 min battery prep. Outside temp 90°.
Hard resets temporarily resolve the alert. Vehicle driveable but battery icon stays on...
Looks similar to mine (starburst). Safelite told me they'd need to replace the windshield, which is an issue since they can't get the part (yet). Also requires recalibration at SC. Certified Collision center wants $2900, which includes towing to/from SC.
I stabilized the crack using a...
Agree with the ABRP/Plugshare combo. Also recommend going to specific charging app (EA, EVGO, etc) and verify current availability. I've found it's a bit challenging locating reliable hotel charging.
With so many EVs, and frequent unreliability of charging locations, we have a lot of room...
Got tail whacked by a delivery truck.. fortunately cameras recorded the guilty hit/run party. Thanks for all the info, trying to figure out what to do.
My hardwired homeflex suddenly stopped charging a couple days ago (after over a year of use). 30min on the phone with ChargePoint without fixing (resets, lowering amps etc).
Ended up installing a 14-50 outlet late at night, used a $200 40amp charger without issue. Interesting that the 14-50...
For the front side window: had success taking off the vertical trim piece, removing the random glue spots. Filled the void with black silicne and reattached the trim. This helped much more than the 2x they replaced the triangle glass/trim.
Still dealing with noise r/t front door seal, seems...
