Doesn't look like partnering is necessary. As soon as Rivians are on the road they (Gofast) will (probably) make them available for the R1T. I don't think Rivian is giving us any kind of price break on the Yakima.
It is nicer, I think, than the Yakima, but $6,950 base is getting pretty steep.
My wife rode in the back for our F150 Lightning "test drive" and for the Rivian First Mile test drive. The Rivian was vastly superior. Enough so that she doesn't want us to get the Lightning.
It was mentioned that you might be able to get one used. Out of curiosity I checked craigslist. Sure enough, a Smittybilt with some minor extras for $800 in San Diego.
The price of these RTTs is the only reason I'm still not committed to getting one.
I think you may have missed that the Explore package does not include the "elevation" audio, just "standard" audio. The blurb you pointed out does not pertain to the Explore vehicles.
Took my wife to the First Mile event in Agua Dulce. I'm no longer Team Yellow. Sorry guys.
I wanted it to be bright, like the tent. Instead, it is very brown. Definitely Dijon, not French's.
So, like most everybody else, we're now blue. They didn't have any red ones at the event. That was 3rd...
Also just got back from Agua Dulce. Spent two days there with one test drive this morning. Great to see so many R1Ts in person, the colors just aren't the same on the computer. These are the first I've seen in person.
The headrest is not adjustable. It's ok for me (not perfect), but how they...
When you go to "Forums" there are two posts (charger install and Rivian app) that can not be reached. Anybody no why?
I have loaded the app (Android) on my phone, though without a vehicle it provides nothing.
Launch edition was only 1 week, total. You could place reservations prior to that, but until the configurator, you couldn't say LE vs Adventure vs Explore.
Sorry if that is too nitpicky. :D
