Yup! Did not have to buy any additional hardware. Just takes a minute to adjust it so it’s centered how you like and to cut the rubber pieces that seal the sliding slot on the inside.
Had this exact issue a few months ago. Early 2022 R1T build. Turned out that it was the ACU (accessory compressor unit) starting to overheat and fail prematurely. And the reason it also popped up for me right after a previous update is that they put new vehicle testing/warning features in...
Just completed a 2,500 mile round trip with zero issues and the fastest charging curves ever!! (Even with the winter weather). This is by far the one of the more stable releases I have seen since getting my Gen 1 quad in June 22.
The navigation was also super accurate with the arrival time...
Rivian gave us an R1S loaner a couple weeks ago while our R1T was in service for the weekend. I fell in love and honestly would trade in our R1T tomorrow if we didn’t need it for all of the truck things we do.
While I would miss the gear tunnel, the R1S had tons of inside space that would be...
Got our 1972 Kit Companion Ready just in time for some beautiful fall camping!
Making the trip from Fort Collins to Salida, CO next weekend. I’ll update with efficiencies and the trip experience when we get back!
People specifically asked for pictures of the flatness new cover and the underside of the old and new slats to see if there were differences. If you have any pictures you can provide please do and leave the negative comments in the Tesla forums.
Some people have busy lives ?‍♂️. I just thought it would be nice to post and let everyone see the new cover! Also, the Denver service center was not doing anymore covers on Friday when mine was getting worked on and I doubt they were taking in new service tickets on Saturday.
I actually still have one of the old panels from when mobile service came to my house and disabled the old cover a while back.
I will take comparison pictures when I get home this afternoon.
They had to stand in the bed so I removed my crossbars that had a Yakima box on them. The service tech also pointed out that they have to remove the black plastic piece that is under the back glass off to be able to lift out all the panels. In doing this they scratched the spoiler but said...
Compared to the original design this is at least 3 times a quiet and it isn’t fighting to get the panels moving like the old version. The previous version on my R1T would make loud popping noises at each joint and struggle to get them out. I have good feelings about the updated one.
