That's a good idea.
Can the gear guard cable stretch across the bed to go through the tie down on the opposite side and back? Maybe that could keep the cover from opening far enough?
Good to see everyone that made it last night. Thought I would link a couple rebates that we discussed -
Federal tax credit for installing an EV charger - 30% up to $1,000: https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-8911
MidAm rebate for buying an EV - $500...
They appear to mention they did launches in different drive modes (3:44). Hard to see in the video, but it looks like they have it in Sport with Lowest and Stiff on for the cones. Would be interesting to see all of these tests ran with all the different settings and see how it changes.
That's a misleading article and I wouldn't generalize that for EV's. Keep in mind nearly all of the auto outlets are still relying on ICE manufacturer sponsor dollars.
If you click through to the iseecars article, it shows this chart, which only has 4 vehicles and doesn't have the Tesla Model...
Ok. So it looks like it's Firetrucker in Ankeny, around 5pm to 6pm or so. See you there if you can make it!
Let's try to meet in the parking lot of the AMP. See green circle in pic.
Sounds like we hit a good date! Let's schedule it for 11/16 at 5pm. Super informal, so show up when you can and leave whenever. I will also post on the Iowa FB group if anyone's in that too.
I threw up a poll on 3 spots to meet. Vote for your preferred one and we'll meet at the winning...
Yes, let's make that happen. I know @LeDiable is down for something. I started a new thread to keep that conversation separate. Check it out here: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/des-moines-ia-meetup.9846/
I know there's 12+ of us in the Des Moines area. A few of us have met in person already. Let's figure out a day and time to get together and have a drink. Who's in?
Want to do a happy hour? Maybe in 2 weeks? 11/16 or 17?
I doubt it was affected. If you watch the Munro video where they go over the tonneau design, you can see it's only on the top half of that section and the bottom half is the top of the gear tunnel. If anything check inside that.
They seemed pretty good. It was right about 11,000 miles when I rotated them. Here's a comparison of my right rear and the new spare that was replacing it.
No. Compared to all the city trucks I see, I'm beating mine up pretty good. With all the highway miles I do, I'm thinking I need a reinforced front shield. (I do have PPF)
June delivery, so I'm at the 4 month milestone and I've already driven over 12,000 miles thanks to a couple of road trips and a sales job. I average about 5 miles/day on gravel, so I'm really testing the truck's durability, but so far it still feels like new.
I did only recently rotate the...
Apologies. I did a search, but apparently not enough of one. I found another thread, so I'll go post there and this can be deleted!
Guess I can't delete it myself... @Administrator ?
