Same issue in IL. AC was extremely loud, and not very cold. Was only mid-80s. Clearly, given the multiple reports, they have work to do on getting the climate function working properly.
Had the opportunity today (in one day!) to drive the BMW ix3 (attended the "Ultimate Drive Event" in Chicago) as well as the R2. My bottom line: the ix3 is my choice, if money is the same (which it isn't, of course). I have zero need for off road capability, and the ix3 felt more like a...
I am selling two new, unopened Yakima Rivian rooftop bike mounts. Info from the Rivian website (https://rivian.com/gear-shop/p/rooftop-bike-mount):
Yakima’s HighRoad Mount secures your bike by the wheels with a low-profile design for minimal hatch interference.
Fits 26”-29″ (650c-700c) wheel...
The crossbar set and the bike racks are still available. I've been contacted by several people who are not local, but the shipping cost would kill the deal.
So it really only makes sense to buy these from me if you can pick up in the Chicago area.
Sorry if anyone is confused (thought my first post was clear). There are 2 cross-bars available (not 2 cross-bar sets), sets of which are sold by Rivian for $525 for the set of two, and which I am offering for $450 for the full set of two. In other words, I am not selling 4 cross-bars, but am...
Field kit has been sold. I still have the 2 cross-bars and 2 bike racks. Given size and weight, local transaction makes more sense than shipping these items.
Location: northern Chicago suburbs.
I am selling the following:
2 Rivian cargo cross bars: have been mounted but never actually used to carry anything (Retail is $525 plus tax, selling price is $450) [Cross bars: sold]
2 Rivian/Yakima rooftop bike mounts brand new in unopened boxes (Retail is...
The new guidance from the IRS is troubling, as it does seem to require a 5% deposit to be deemed an enforceable agreement. Effectively, they're saying that anything less means you don't have skin in the game. Understandable, but suggests that the Rivian attempt was insufficient.
It is actually simpler than this: the transition rule treats the in-service date as 2022, if you now have a binding agreement to purchase the vehicle and complete the purchase after 2022 (no matter how late you take delivery of the vehicle). So this means that even if you take delivery in...
