I got a chip on the highway, so bought a kit from Amazon and repaired it myself. Not perfect, but no one could find it until I pointed it out. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ALJ4MY/
Then last week took another rock hit, but this time it grew into a full-blown crack. Safelite appears to...
Update: I was able to drive with the 12v warning for about 4 weeks, then mobile service came out and replaced both batteries. Turned out one was bad. Disconnecting both batteries requires the windows, seats, steering wheel, basically anything motorized to be recalibrated. But I didn't loose...
I've had issues with the Rivian charger not working bc it lost wifi connection. Reset the breaker to get the charger to connect to wifi again fixes it. But that doesn't explain close/open door and it working.
I got the dreaded "12v needs service" message, but the truck still operates normally. The earliest appointment I could get is a month away. Hope the battery lasts that long.
I've had my R1T for 18m, and I've run into this issue three times. Plug in the at-home level 2 Rivian charger and get an error. Thereafter, the truck doesn't recognize its plugged in. Hard reset of truck, and hard reset of level 2 charger did nothing. When I plug in, the light ring remains...
After the latest software upgrade, in-home (L2) charging stopped again. Truck wouldn't recognize the plug, and after 5mins it would give an error. Flipped breaker for Rivian charger, but didn't help. Rebooted truck but didn't help. Switch to L1 which was working albeit very slowly. Left it...
Did my first inspection today, and was expecting lots of questions but the guy did a great job. The only thing he couldn't figure out was where the odometer was for mileage. His first Rivian. My registration is due Sept but paid today to avoid the $200 fee.
I upgraded to 2023.10.1 last night, drove the truck today, and when I returned home plugged in expecting it to charge at the scheduled time. But I noticed on the app it said "vehicle error." The Rivian wall charger (48amp) showed red, so I unplugged and replugged. Either the truck would not...
Got a call today from Rivian Service saying they were in the neighborhood and would I like them to stop by and perform the recall check? Um, sure. Arrived on-time, performed the check (no issues), then added air to the tires and topped-off the wiper fluid. That was my first service...
I kicked off my update last night, then today when I went to drive the truck the entertainment system was really, really slow. Cameras would not work at all. Drove fine. Reset entertainment and that appears to have fixed it.
